I never thought I'd see Secret of Monkey Island reimagined as a text adventure game with still shots and a mouse cursor interface to choose commands.

pretty cool but i bet its possible to get the actual game running on a c64.

Yeah, at least some stripped down version with the base mechanics still intact. The first 2 SCUMM games, _Maniac Mansion_ and _Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders,_ were aimed at the C64 as their main platform. So it's really not like the C64 never had a point and click adventure game in its life

Sure. Major limitation is actually storage space. To avoid swapping diskettes, game should be fit to two floppies, one Amiga diskette contents should be fit to Commodore 64 160kt disk side. That requires that almost all background graphics should be transformed to C64 charset graphics, possible put some sprites to difficult area and not use bitmaps. But yes, it can run Commodore 64.

I like it, but isn't working here because everybody knows Monkey Island. But it would be awesome to get this as an construction kit for making own adventures. But it needs 1351 support and support for international characters. On a C128 the 80-column screen could be used for text.

This is a limitation that has to be accepted, MI in his whole flavours wouldn't be possible on the C64.

Characters are not walking around, there are no animations... The menus are different... So I would say no. Probably a custom engine. However at 3:01 the image has a "SCUMM BAR" sign! So many questions...

Non funziona……..in prima schermata esce la scritta a video timeout load press Fire…..provato con css64, vice e con un altro emulatore tedesco……..niente di niente……….bellissimo lavoro
