@@RK36_ yeah the old "slug throwers" Tuskin Raiders LOVE em 👌🙂 Also it's the one thing that of you were to shoot a common soldier (rebel or empire) they'd probably die a slow death due to not having the proper body armour (blaster plates) or the right medical equipment to deal with such a thing as I don't think that bacta would be any use to a gunshot victim as the bullet would have just ripped straight through the body, breaking bones causing massive internal bleeding and infection.

Yes I have - A friends father had a 455 he brought back from WWII. I'd rate it a bit nicer to fire than the Mauser, If you ran out of ammo it would have made a nice club plus the hole in the barrel was off center too.

Quick tip for you mate, you can find the Red9 in the abandoned boat floating in the lake after the Del Lago boss fight. And it is so aweasome in the remake.

Elstree. A very good Film Armourer’s supplier. The Stormtroopers’ blaster is a modified Sterling SMG L7. These were used by The Royal Navy cast members and Bond in the finale of The Spy Who Loved me filmed before on the same sound stages. Perfect because on semi auto setting they make a loud sear click that can be used by the effects crew to sync the laser blast and squib and the stunt men to fake a recoil.

Idk why gun owners always get heated when you say clip over magazine. They both serve pretty much the same purpose, to reload your gun. Even if it’s the incorrect terminology everyone gets so hurt about it like calling it a clip is a dangerous act and will set off all firearms in the world

@@noelsalisbury7448 No. Not at all. Weapons with internal magazine are designed to top loaded by hand, one bullet at a time. Yes, it'll be slower, but that's how these guns are designed, the stripper clip is just a tool to help it goes faster.

What always nagged me is that the further they ever went to make it into a long gun was a pistol caliber carbine. With a bit of fiddling they could've made a semi-auto rifle in 8mm Mauser from a C96 layout

The 7.63 X 25 ammo used by the C96 Mauser was the "hottest" round fired in a pistol until the .357 magnum was developed. The weight of the C96 (and possibly the action) mitigated the recoil felt when firing this pistol and other than an occasional hammer bite, this gun was a pleasure to shoot. When l bought mine, l was lucky to secure about a thousand rounds of ammo and was able to shoot as often as l pleased. I also had a good reproduction of the wooden holster/shoulder stock which made the experience even more fun.

I’m sure there where a few other handgun cartridges that could lay acclaim to the title ‘most powerful pistol round’ until the introduction of the .357, but I know .38 Super was given that title at some point I have no idea the intended factory loading for 7.63 Mauser, but the factory loadings for .38 Super called for a 130gr slug moving at about 1200 fps. That gets you at about 420-some energy foot pounds.

Fun fact: This particular model of the Mauser C96 was sold on the commercial market between 1920 & 1921, distinguished by its smaller grip and shorter barrel than typical C96 models. It was largely popular in Eastern Europe, and the bulk majority would be owned by the Bolshevik government in Russia, thus earning it the nickname of the "Bolo" C96.

I used to have a Metal BB gun of a c96 and it was so sick man. I remember having fights with a group of mates with guns like these and I would just run about with C96 rapid firing, I felt like a true German storm trooper.

It is actually a very comfortable gun to shoot. All that weight out front reduces muzzle rise, and the grip is comfortable. The .30 Mauser round was the hottest pistol round for decades. And this is the gun that saved a young lieutenant Winston Churchill's bacon when surrounded by fuzzy-wuzzies in the Sudan.
