One thing I like about California freeways, like this one, is that even if you're stuck in traffic for an ungodly amount of time you have awesome scenery to look at (3:00-4:15, in particular). Though I'm sure it gets really old after a while haha. Nice re-editing job!

Nice drive. These LA freeways are loaded to capacity 24/7 it seems. The result of no significant road improvement projects over the last 30 years while population grew by the millions.

@Fobulous08: Good question. I'm not 100% sure, although I'm assuming its to save the state of California money from having to pay the electricity to light up our freeways. We do have some that are lit-up at night, but they tend to be the exception, rather than the rule. I-80 thru San Francisco is an example of a freeway having high-mast lighting.

@aswchris Their bus system is even worse. It takes a little more than two hours to go probably 10-15 miles. The subway and light rail network is growing rapidly and was a pleasant experience, but tourists and non-locals should definitely stick to their cars in LA, in my opinion, if they want to get a lot accomplished in a day.

How come there are so little street lights for the freeways.. In Houston those high mast lights are everywhere..

Hey Brent, by chance do you have any other videos of the 91, east or west?

@Fobulous08 i have been asking the same question for years. most californians dont even notice it but the freeways in los angeles are very dark especially to be some of the widest and busiest in the nation. those lights are definitely missing but knowing what i know about people in L.A. who seem to be clueless and absorbed with the fake and superficial, they will complain.
