finally finished YAAASSSSS!!!! this is a painting for ap art and its about how the world transitioned online and a lot of teens especially, including me, consumed a lot of media. this was a really fun painting and i enjoyed doing all the itty bitty details. i hope u guys enjoyed this silly little process video and thanks for coming along for the journey :)

i used paper! not sure which kind since my teacher gave me it, but anything thick like mixed media paper or water color paper should work!

Your artworks are so pretty and stunning. You inspired me to pick up acrylics and try them. But how do you layer color pencils over acrylics? Could you please do a small tutorial or just tell me? I want to try it although those details are what I guess I can never do

it worked best if you work on paper and use the acrylic paint in thin layers. whenever I layer colored pencil on acrylic paint when I’m using a canvas it doesn’t work very well. use a thick paper like mixed media or watercolor and it should go on top pretty smoothly!
