As a self taught artist, tracing a pic to get it over to my actual workspace saves me SO much time. I dont think tracing is a bad thing, it helps you learn to make the same movements over and over again, which then can translate into better concept sketches.

Wow... I am both shocked and impressed. I did not know it was possible for someone to paint with this level of detail. You chose the hardest picture ever - the background with your own paintings to recreate, full body including hands and feet, your dog + stuffed animals... just wow. Plus, you can edit and play the guitar!!! I am sure you have worked really hard to get to this point, but I need to believe you have natural talent for my sanity. I feel like it would be the best gift ever if you painted an engagement or wedding photo. To think this only took a month... some people spend half a year on a project and do not end up at the level you achieved here.
