It looks as though this line was once double tracked in the past.
@cnlGNERnhАй бұрын
I’ve been told that currently there is only one freight train that uses this line .

Yes , this line was double tracked until it has been electrifed in the end of the. 50's ...

Hello ! Thank you very much for this very nice cab ride video. I don't live far away from this line so I do love this video! Does it exist at the 720p ( higher resolution ) format ?
@cnlGNERnhАй бұрын
You are welcome and thank you for the comments . It should be playing at 720p resolution as that is what it was recorded in (DVD quality) at least ten years ago . Did you try going to “settings” at the bottom of the screen and changing it to 720p? When I first put it out on YT , it was playing in some automatic resolution in I don’t know what mode 🤨

Hi ! Thank you for your quick answer. I followed your advice and yes , it works :-) So now I can watch the video with a much better quality. It was taken about 10 years ago ? It seems it starts not long after leaving the station of Frasne ....
@cnlGNERnhАй бұрын
@@grisotsebastien2794 Yes , it’s after Frasne . I actually have video of the whole trip from Dijon, I just had put out what I thought was the best scenery , I wasn’t expecting so many views . Maybe I should do a video with the rest of the route as a follow-up . 🤔
@grisotsebastien2794Ай бұрын
I think you really should publish a video with the whole run between Dijon and Vallorbe because this line is very popular among the french railroads fans. The section between Mouchard and Andelot is called " La Bosse " ( the Bump ) and is very famous. Many railway magazines have covered this line. So, I'm sure that a whole video would be much appreciated ...

@@grisotsebastien2794 You’ve convinced me . I will plan on doing that . I’m sure some people would rather hear the actual sounds , but the railroaders that recorded this don’t want any involvement in social media , so I reached a compromise to respect their privacy by just adding music tracks so I can at least release the video part without the audio . . Someday I can probably release a DVD with the actual cab/radio conversations.
