I own a copy of the book, "The Art of the Sixth Sense: Cabaret Voltaire" . . . (1989) -- pretty much my MOST favorite band ever. Love the truly early noise-art out the back of a van, early 70s stuff the most. Between 12" singles and double albums I have 18 releases, including "The Voice of America," "2x45," "Johnny Yes No," and so much more.

Remebered them as disquieting. This is soothing. Love it.

Their early stuff was rough, grinding industrial. As the 80s went on, they got.... quite groovy.

From the Cabs electro-trance jam period after Code (Colours, Int'l Language, etc) period...instrumentals mostly but wayyy cool and euro. I approve this message!

andy morris Andy, the title track refers to a time when rich people of New York considered fashionable to have a party with black radical men.

andy morris Yes, Code was a gem. In fact, it was the first CV album i bought, back In 1988. Since then, i tried to collect every release. Greetings.

@andy morris Get a listen to the "Body and soul" album. It is a good effort by Cabaret Voltaire.

I always bought anything i could find of theirs but always wished theyd evolve more towards darker angst, but hey

Check out Easy Life (Very Strange Mix). Lots of dark angst in there

I feel like in terms of the overall discography there is a very good balance of darkness, noise, funk and sweetness personally.
