Hate to rain on your parade- but with modern tools, we regularly make connections in an hour or less... The fault finding and digging/backfilling holes is what actually takes the longest.

You need to install solid backup ring beneath armour and then tight the worm drive clip over armour connection it is already provided in 3M kits.

Gents, you really should not be using a stanley knife to score the cores before removing the semi-con layer. If you go just a little too deep on the cut at the screen end, you will get discharge here which would likely lead to failure. There are simple tools to do this job around £60
