Hey everyone back with Railroads Online! Today we are back with the Railroad Olympics brought to us by Hyce's Discord! A few members spent some time making a series of olympic railroad events and we're starting off today with the ever classic caboose racing!

Hyce has just had lots of practice running trains on his own tracks. his tracks and the race course have very similar… styles.

Could the next event be a time trial Getting from one end of a hilly course to the other with out derailing, but use the Glenbrook due to it's speed limit changed So there are multiple times for derailing from going too fast while driving or going down hill Making this a time trial can see who can maintain speed the best

there are only 2 speeds which a caboose isnt violently shaking, parked, and very low speeds.

4:44 Yes Kan, you can. You just use free hand and place crossovers at odd distance and angles then join the tracks too the crossover and delete the crossover. Then repeat.

Each person should have had a timed run on each track then see who comes up with the best average. It does not take an engineer to see that while the inside has the shortest track the outside has the smoothest curves allowing for more speed. I wish you would all at least post together on a schedule when you force us to go looking for others perspectives, right now I will watch whoever I find first but by tomorrow when they post I will have already lost interest.

It's obvious that you guys agreed to only show your own races to spread the love among your channels but it would have been better if you had grabbed the footage of your spotter as well. Having an external view of the mayham, and splicing in the footage, would make the action far more coherent.

That always bugs me. I understand why they do it, but at the same time, it means that we miss out on so much that it just ends up frustrating me. Like whenever they make tracks in racing games, they just show their own perspective and we miss out completely on seeing them attempt the others' tracks.
