Firts of all, Gohan needed a lot of help to destroy Cell. That rest a lot of score on the ranking of badass character, and second He used his full power into the kameameha. For another part, Ken never need help or uses a shity kamehameha, he only need his own hand to destroy the enemies. Think about it.

This is what makes Gohan my favorite character in the series to date. From the first episode it was made abundantly clear Gohan was not a fighter. He was timid, afraid. Desired a peaceful end to any conflict. Time and time again he was pushed to his breaking point which revealed his strength of his Species, being a Hybrid. But deep down it killed him each time, Gohan has a gentle kind heart. Even more so than Goku, more akin to his Adoptive Grandpa he was named after. He hates fighting and violence. Outright despises it, could never think of killing another despite anything they do. But when the day came, when everyone has fallen, when it was made clear he was the sole hope for everything he held near. When he was pushed to his limits Physically, Morally, Mentally and Emotionally. He let out a scream and showed what his true power really was. Overwhelming to everyone else. Goku would be angry during a transformation such as this. Vegeta would be smug and cocky during a transformation like this. Gohan? neither. Some forget one simple thing. He's still a child. With tears flowing with his aura without words it's conveyed that his heart genuinely is breaking of the thought of what he's going to have to do. But as the tears to begin to fade. It's made more and more clear that even a gentle hearted child sometimes has to come to grips with reality.

I always chose to see Gohan's tears as his innocence leaving. His crybaby persona being engulfed by his SSJ2 aura, and as his tears are lifted out of his eyes into the sky and they dissipate, he looks forward angrily with stern determination.

Second time: the person he's grown to look up to is dead now, and with them so is any chance of bringing them back. Going to namek to fight even more deadly aliens including the one who nearly killed them is the ONLY chance to bring them back Third Time: Androids literally designed to kill his father and other loved ones It was fight or die, not fight for the sake of fighting.

Rest in peace akira toriyama, Thank you for your utmost dedication and hardwork towards the series that made many people's childhoods feel all the more lively and exciting, Thank you for the series that introduced many wonderful and rememberable characters, You may have forgotten some of the old cast, but that doesnt change my opinion regardless, along with the variety of transformations and fair share of the best moments in anime/manga history, of course. Without it... No, without you, im not sure what would become of the anime/manga community worldwide, Again Thank you, Akira toriyama... Fly high 🕊️ You won't truly die as long as you're in our minds and hearts alike, which is a guarantee so... May you rest well in heaven. Goodbye. One of the greatest scenes in television history. The climax to a 4 year storyline where we saw the potential in young Gohan and knew there was something special about him. This is a young boy who has seen the horrors of the world in front of him and has realized that individuals like Cell can’t be reasoned with because all they know is fear, pain, misery and the joy of hurting others with no remorse. This is one of the most powerful scenes in TV history because this is a symbol of something more. It’s a symbol for those who have been abused standing up against their abusers. For victims saying they refuse to be victimized anymore. It’s not wrong to stand up for yourself and fight back. It’s not wrong to fight for what you believe in. Those tears that Gohan cried are the tears of every good person who has been pushed too far by evil people. Thank you for this incredible work of art Akira Toriyama.

Escúchame gohan, no es pecado pelear por la justicia, al contrario esa es una buena obra. Recuerda que existen oponentes que nunca entenderán con palabras, solamente tienes que soltar la furia que hay en tu espíritu, entiendo como te sientes, pero ya no tienes porque seguir soportandolo. HACE COMO 10 AÑOS atrás en una entrevista a Laura Torres le preguntaron como hizo para hacer ese grito. Y ella dijo que cuando leyo el guion y entendió lo que iba a pasar les pidió a todos que la dejen sola en la sala de grabación. Años después leí los lyrics del tema y me agarro piel de gallina cuando dice el "tiempo a llegado oh mesías" que buena forma de darle la bienvenida al mejor ssj2 de todos solo gohan te hacia agarrar escalofríos.

Poxa… eu pensava que ia demorar mais uns anos mais infelizmente veio cedo demais… quantas e quantas vezes eu vinha correndo da escola quando criança para ver Dragon Ball às vezes evitava fazer bagunça para não ficar depois da aula para não perder… ai ontem do nada chega essa bomba hoje e meu aniversário e te contar que ficou até sem graça e como se uma parte da minha vida morresse junto… além de Dragon Ball e Dragon Quest. Akyra fez parte do jogo da minha vida, Chrono Trigger, só posso agradecer tudo que o Akira-sensei nos deixou, tenho certeza de que ele está muito feliz com seu legado e vendo que no mundo todo as pessoas estão tristes com a sua partida!!! OBRIGADO por tudo, tio Akyra! Jamais iremos esquecer suas obras e tudo o que elas nos ensinarão.

@@Cercatore Not even close. The revelation did nothing but shock the audience with a sudden secret information and Reiner completely losing it. SSJ2 Gohan against Cell symbolises an innocent child breaking his own codes and desires to protect the ones he loves. A child. Not an adult.
