TBH, this was never a Politoed matchup. CBAD's team is very anti-rain. Defensively, he had bulky resists like Empoleon and Virizion, and, most importantly, Gastrodon (who's immune to the rain-boosted Water-type attacks thanks to Storm Drain. Offensively, he also has the Overqwil who could've taken advantage of the rain (he was Swift Swim in this match, too) and outspeed Elly's entire team besides Floatzel.
