There is one problem. Which quad that uses nano sized components can fit a 20x20 board. The answer is close to none. if they want to call it nano they should use a 16x16 or whoop-style board (and get the weight down even more)
@yekt3805
@yekt3805 5 жыл бұрын
@@karoo_bushman6880 I fear a 16x16 would be too small. After all they have to put the needed components somewhere. They could do two 16x16 boards stacked. I'd prefer a whoop board because it has more space than a 20x20. And to save weight and unused space they could use 3 mounts only to make it smaller (like the diamond vtx from happymodel)

Camera comes first then frame/canopy/pods will come. for now we have to use an adapter for both the camera and board....when not using a 20x20 flight stack.

Think it's a good step as many quadcopters are getting smaller and lighter. Can also be a good light plane camera setup.

Thanks for the review nick!! So nothing groundbreaking but I think its definitely a step in the right direction. if I was looking to buy an aio hd cam this would be the one for me but for someone who already owns a turtle v2 I cant justify replacing it just to drop 2 grams of weight from a cinwhoop. I really dont understand why they dont make it on a 25×25mm layout board ,it would actually give them more space put stuff and then maybe we could screw a unmodified m2 standoff in without breaking something of the board in the process and would be much easier to mount on your cinwhoop or even a hyperlite style quad cinwhoops seem to be all anybody uses these all in one hd cams for anyways mine as well make a version that's easy as possible to mount up

Thanks for the review. This HD cam image are not nice in the goggles and the footage isnt that good too tho. But they are small and light so they have definitly a reason to exist. But the differences between baby and standardt... are realy not existing. I had a caddx Turtle (normal) and the voltmeter only works up to 12v but the cam can handle up to 20v. its realy bad in a 4s build so i send it back. (no OSD on KISS....) Eventualy you can check if the new cam can show higher voltages. I only got that info by emailing caddx. btw. i roast my Runcam racer nano caused by the remote cable touching my ESC... very frustrating, too.

I can't help but compare its image to the Tarsier, notably the artificial sharpening, sure it's a great step up from goggles DVR but the resolution steps into the sportcam territory so that's what we're comparing it against, and it's not pretty. I'm very pleased with my Tarsier, except the 4:3 HD recording isn't centered properly so I have to use 16:9 (perfectly centered). Spaceballs is to Star Wars what Galaxy Quest & The Orville is to Star Trek - and by Grabthar's Hammer I love them all.

Product review tips? I am very biased how I do things. I prefer to show the product, report its specs and reserve my opinion for later in the review where those wanting to hear what I think are still watching. I try to avoid saying things that I am unsure of or bring up a topic and defer to the viewer to decide. As to getting more product for review it can be a slippery slope: one we need viewers...and all the complications that come with that in the big space of the internet. Two, vendors want sales, they won't care how good the video is or how many people see it if they don't see sales they will not likely send review samples. Number two is very tricky. If you "sell" everything and viewers get burned by the product they won't come back and likely start to campaign against the channel, on the other hand if viewers aren't interested in the product they won't buy it either. This is were not reviewing everything and knowing what the audience might be interested in is important. Getting started we have to spend our own money, so our own desires in the review videos play a role. I get sent stuff I didn't agree to review, when this happens I am attempt to be very clear with the manufacturer/vendor I didn't ask for the item and therefore may not make a video review on the item. Some presume I "need" product to review, as if I were fulltime or something. I also attempt to make it clear this is a hobby, I am not invested in just making videos. There is much more nuance to it that could take a great deal of time to cover, this is the high level view from my perspective.

jello in video is a multipart issue. One is camera mounting, another is the quad and its own vibrations, the pid tune of the quad and last would be the use of an ND filter. The nd filter (which I don't have for this camera), gets the last bit of jello out of the footage.

Hello Nick and thanks for your reviews!! I have this camera on a new Geprc Skip hd3.. In the day it seemed very good in the goggles.. But this evening I really struggled compared to the normal turtle in low light.. I had glitches, sometimes black shadows on the sides of the sensor, and when pointing back to last bit of setting sun.. The rest of the picture was really dark, in a moment in which you could still easily see bare eye.. Do you think I received a defective unit or did you have the same kind of poor low light performance? Thanks a lot Greetings from Rome🙏

To test the esc, plug in battery and usb, without prop, in the betaflight motors tab use the page up and page down keys to go all four motors 100% and 0% throttle quickly. Keep an eye for a motor that doesn't respond like the others. If there is a motor that doesn't respond like the others move it to a different arm and do the test again, if the same motor doesn't respond like the others, we have a faulty motor, if the poor response stays at the previous motor position we have an issue with the esc.
