Cades Cove Camping Trip-Driving Through Loop-BEAR SIGHTINGS!!

We spent Labor Day weekend camping in Cades Cove. We spent 3 wonderful days and nights enjoying the peacefulness of the campground, and the beauty of Cades Cove. We saw some wildlife, including coyote, deer, turkey, and best of all, BLACK BEAR!

Where’d you go Christmas thru New Years? You were talking about it in this video.you said you were flying n I wasn’t sure when looking back. I love Cade’s cove. I sure was sad when they closed the road thru to tail of dragon, I think it’s parzons branch. Sure made for good ride back home to bryson city.

My husband has done the tail of dragon twice. Time and work schedule is not on our side now, with three jobs between us, we rarely have free time now..but one day we hope to do more in the years to come.

Yes, we like to get camp set up quickly...LOL. Here is what I found on the Park's website, regarding bear spray regulations... "Bear spray may be carried by hikers within Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the strict purpose of protection against bodily harm from aggressive wildlife. It should not be applied to people, tents, packs, other equipment or surrounding area as a repellent. Bear pepper spray is a chemical formula designed specifically to deter aggressive or attacking bears. It must be commercially manufactured and labeled as "Bear Pepper Spray" and be registered with the Environmental Protection Agency and individual states. Bear spray must contain between 1% to 2% of the active ingredients capsaicin and related capsaicinoids."
