2015 BMW driver restraint system malfuction???

tried to reset vehicle check and was unsuccessful.
(FIXED): purchased carly obdii wifi adapter off amazon and ios carly pro and was able to clear the SRS code.

I had this error bugging me for almost 6 months. The dealership told me I will have to replace the sensor mat which would cost more than $1400 to do. I even sent a complaint to the FHSA to report the faulty emulator that came with my BMW in hopes that it will trigger an investigation and possibly lead to a recall in the near future. I decided to buy a sensor mat emulator for my car and it has completely gotten rid of the error. The emulator itself only costed less than $50 on Ebay. It has been almost a year since I installed it and it is still working fine.

What's up friend, I have the same problem and I just bought one of these emulators that you mention on ebay, but in the instructions it indicates that I must connect the emulator to the black connector. but my bmw 330e only has two connectors (white and blue). does not include the other two (gray and black)... I don't understand where I should replace the connection!

i purchased Carly OBDii wifi adapter and the iOS pro app and was able to clear the SRS alert. highly recommend Carly. it save me a trip from going to the dealership, which I dread going to.

@@Calam95 Carly is junk now. dont recommend their product anymore. Sorry can't help, sold the BMW

Is the sensor for passenger presence.... i have same error because ive changed the seats with leather seats from England. Now my passenger seat dont have that sensor...because is a driver seat... cool yeah ?? :))

Can you please post a video how did you reset it? I’m afraid to pay for adapter $90 + $50 for the app and still not be able to see the result.

i should have recorded but forgot to. it does work i promise you that. with the carly pro app i was able to code the car and make asd to sound like a m4.

fondoo Thanks for your reply. During scanning at the service I got few errors related to Passenger Restraint System so you say this app will solve the issue and warning will go off? P.S. What was the errors you were getting?

I accidently unplug the harness under the seat without unplugging the battery. so everytime i start the car i would get that error. its a srs error and can be cleared with any obdii reader. invest in the carly and carly pro. you can do more than diagnostic and resets. it has coding!

It happend to my 13 /328 and and the notification just went away one day before taking it in... then this morning it reappears after 4 months... and it drives me up the wall I tried unplugging the sensor plugging it back in and it still remains on? Anyone got any advice? Before I resort to taking it in.

I have a 2015 328i my iDrive says thats its possibly a faulty airbag, belt tensioner or something. Luckily im going to repair something else but since i dont have warranty im trying to avoid going to a dealer. Does anyone have that same issue??
