Yo! That tip on using the Tow to get an immediate, no load screen, no driving around the map trip back to Ranger HQ, just earned you a new subscriber!

My 10 tips: 1. When you assemble a team, don't care too much on the perfection of everything. You get so much skillpoints that you should easily max out 4,5 skills each character. Having a party of 6 (4 custom made) will give you enough skillpoint to fill every skill. Don't do like me that restarted 6-7 times to get it absolutely perfect. The first 3 skillpoints in each skillclass cost next to nothing in the long run. 2. Intelligence does not do the same in W3 as in W2. In W2 every 2 point in Intelligence gives your character extra skillpoints every level. In W3, Intelligence only gives you a extra skillpoint "that ONE time" you have even numbers. So every character gets 3 skillpoints at regulary but every time you upgrade to a even number you get 1 extra skillpoint that level. Important to know, since it's make intelligence weaker than it was in W2, though it's still useful for critical damage, but I genereally recommend maxing Luck before Intelligence if you want the best combat skills. EDIT: explained in first vid. Did not see it before now. 3. If there is two skills you can always invest skillpoints in no matter how many that have the same skill, it's Animal Whisper and Mechanics. Mechanics gives you a buff to killing robots/turrets/cars, access to the best deployables, ability to shut down generators for turrets and have a good low skillpoint perk. Animal Whisper gives you some sweet sweet bonuses, some free decoys for enemies to target and solid damage to bring along. Explosion and First Aid can also be good choice, but 5 is more than enough. 4. If you give want to have everyone having access to Animal Whispers then plan out in advance what type of character have what kind of animal reqruits. Because you can't dismiss them and reqruit by other characters. Once dead or dismissed, they are gone and you have to find a new one. Not always easy. EDIT: Might not be true, I have not manage to do it. Sniper: Waste wolf, Doe or Goat Melee: Stag Big Guns Tank: Bison and Growler cub Leader: Fox Lucky characters: Goat or Cat Maxed Animal Whisperer: Honey Badger 5. Having multiple characters with the same weapon drain your ammo count quickly early on. Later you have tons to spare. Just don't be afraid to have people with the same weapon type in a party. The best weapon are "usually" not the unique ones and you can get multiple of them. Also as a personal choice I feel there is no need to get a character with 2 different weapon skills except Explosion and Weird Science as they have other usage. Let say you pick Sniper Rifle, you will always have one sniper rifle for robots and one for humans. No space for packing with you Shotguns, Pistols or SMGs. 6. Tier list of weapons are: S-Tier: Small arms (primarily the shotguns, especially late game), Sniper Rifle (Overall the most reliable weapon the entire game) Automatic Weapons (The SMG's in particulary are so strong from the start). A-Tier: Melee Combat (primarily bladed), Brawling (From mid/late game) B- Tier: Explosive (Overall strong AOE, but very expensive) C-Tier: Weird Science (few weapon requires it and they are normally outclassed) - Usefull on other stuff though D-Tier: Big Guns (early game very strong, but drops in usage later. drains ammo and have high AP cost. Flamethrower don't stack so good after early gameand get quickly outclassed by Shotguns and Explosives AOE) 7. Don't ignore Strength on anyone, but Snipers. There are at least 3 insane good unique armor set out there that have a requirement of 8 in Strength or more. Also Strength gives you more HP and longer throw range for grenades and deployables. On higher difficulity settings, Strength of 6 or more makes the game way easier. - Also let your melee character have some points in Weird Science. There is a excelent armor that need some points in it. 8. Sneak attack only work the first attack before the first round. Think through who should get the first shot. I reccomend the Sniper or the Shotgun user. But Explosive and Big Guns work fine too. Give the one you want to use as the main sneak attack dealer max Sneaky Shit asap for the 200% damage perk. 9. If there is one stat that can be dump stat, consider Charisma. Even on your leader there is no real need for max Charisma. 6-8 point should be more than sufficent, but max works fine too. 10. Use Rally as the first move in the fight. Once the rounds drag on, using Rally barely have a difference as you are often too much spread out.

For players thinking of using pre-made duo then make use of their items for later. Yuri & Spence Yuri’s Charm: Ranged Damage Bonus +10% Spence’s Hand Wraps: Hit Chance +5% Bronco & Kickboy Bronco’s Heart Pendant: +10% Critical Chance Kickboy’s Heart Pendant: +4% Strike Rate William & Li-Tseng William’s Medal: +1 Penetration Mom’s Photo: Detection Time +0.2 Seconds Dusty & Marie Dusty’s AA Medallion: Critical Damage +0.3x Marie’s Wrench: Armor +3 Chris & Kris Vintage Toaster Handle: Fire Resistance +25% 9 Volt Battery: Energy Resistance +20%

Just use the pair of pre made characters till you get to HQ then create your own and remove the trinkets from the pre made to use on your own characters. That’s what I did anyway

This might be self-evident to some, but after selecting a character in combat, if you move the cursor to various empty blocks it'll show hit chances for enemies within range of your weapon should you move there, which can also be used to determine flanking angles on enemies behind cover BEFORE you make any moves.

best tip i found way too late was the middle mouse button can spin the camera.

Never underestimate weapon/armour modifications. In other games, they usually just slightly buff your equipments, but in Wasteland, they are pretty strong (+6 armour, +8 damage, etc) and sometimes downright broken (+20 dmg -10% hit chance, +1 armour +0.6 combat speed -1 AP, etc). Make use of the "Ambush" button, especially for Snipers. They grant +5% hit chance for every spare AP above the minimum amount required for that weapon. The level 10 Sniper Perk makes it even more powerful by letting you ambush multiple enemies if you've killed the previous one with that previous ambush--meaning the enemies won't even get a turn to attack once they're in range. Try to collect every single unique animal/robot/clone followers. They don't take up squad slots and are very powerful once you've leveled up as they level with you (thick armour, high health, insane crits). Yes, even Major Tomcat and Polly. Just keep them alive. Omw to Liberty with them rn.

First and most important tip: don't overthink it and enjoy the game. Curently on my second playtrough on hard diffculty and having a good time :)

Remove skill boosting trinkets/armor before upgrading a skill. This will save you a skill point or two on higher levels.

The fuser is a great sidearm for mechanic-based characters. Mine uses a flamethrower as his primary weapon, so I use the fuser for bonus damage on enemies that resist fire, avoiding hitting my squadmates when they're grouped together, and maintaining my sawdogs/turrets long-distance.

Not sure if its a glitch or bug. But the barter perk for the 5% to sell item for 50% for unlimited money helps alot. Because you can keep buying and selling it back over and over.

Not a tip but something I just found out the hard way. The last perk in toaster repair; one that when you kill, make your next attack set your target on fire. That setting on fire part also apply to healing your ally and charming animal. My Tomcat took a hit and I went to heal him up, he caught on fire and it took me a while to figured out what's going on.

Although the Barter skill was mentioned, I would like to suggest that the player obtain the Antiques Appraiser perk at level 7. This perk works like obtaining a lottery ticket for all the junk that the group collects: if you are going to sell, there is a chance of this "trash" is worth tens of thousands of dollars. If you're very lucky, hundreds of thousands of dollars. If the player wants to make a fortune and has patience, this skill will end the money problem in the group. The biggest benefit I see in this involves being able to buy what you want when you find new sellers in the game (even with Barter at the maximum level, buying items is usually expensive). In particular, more ammunition and better weapons and armor. I left Colorado Springs for the first time with more than 250k of money. Method: save the game, sell a reasonable amount of junk using this perk (the greater the amount of junk, the better the chances of multiplying your money with less "attempts"). Observe the result of the sale. In my case, I consider the sale to be good if any of the sales is priced at 30k or more. If it doesn't work, just load it and try again. If it works, buy all the junk from the seller again and repeat the operation. Even if you are satisfied with the profit obtained, I recommend buying the whole junk again for "future transactions" if this need arises. In the course of the game, you will have a greater amount of junk to sell and consequently your chances of making a fortune will increase rapidly. In the most dangerous difficulty, I would say that this initiative can mean the difference between life and death. Imagine having easy access to several useful resources when you - probably - need them the most. In the worst case, this perk means an absurd improvement in the group's "quality of life". The only problem I see in this plan to obtain "easy" money is that it can - depending on your point of view - remove much of the experience about difficulty and scarcity in obtaining important items to keep your group well equipped in a post-apocalyptic world. Consider this a friendly and realistic warning.

If you are using "Strikes" on big bosses, Marking (Sniper perk) adds a big damage bonus to all these. Probably going to be patched later, but Rally (Leadership) doesn't work if you are Crouched (including in cover, where you auto crouch). Animals (Even at 1 skill) provide fairly large buffs, as well as being self healing (after combat) HP sponges that the enemy will shoot. Might be a bug, but if one person in party has the Improved pet buff Perk (Animal 5?) everyone's pet provides the improved buff. Biggest Damage is through Skills/Perks, many have +200% if the enemy is xxxxx (Blunt auto crits on Stunned / Blind, the Bleed from Melee attack does more if target is burning). Find combos your characters can apply. Elemental Attacks all ignore Armor (Weird Science has a bonus damage vs. armor) the + or - from type is the only modifier.

Always start your battle with a sneaky molotov and on tje first turn use a gas grenade, all the enemies will lose tons of health in the following turns. Slicer dicer takes up. 2x2 square and blocks movement. The nerd stuff ability to control enemy robots is super op. And the leadership skill that gives all your party extra ap is great to start, it even allows 2 sniper shots every turn

when you scrolled down the benefits for the intelligence stat my mind was absolutely blown. i had, myself, actually missed seeing the option to scroll down the perks list so for 30 gameplay hours i thought we could only upgrade 2 perk lines per ranger. >.

So far on my play-through, I would recommend being the first character you create be a sniper. 1, snipers should have high luck and awareness so it makes it easier for you to get good loot drops from crates and see traps. 2, snipers should have 'sneaky sh*t' which gives you a reduced enemy detection time as the point man. 3, as a high int character (in theory), I put early game points into lockpicking so I can crack the safes in Little Vegas / Marshals HQ / Clone Apartment.

I didnt know about the tow thing. But few things I found having the weapon modder with you all the time is good as there is the perk that gives extra ammo and that is a lifesaver. Also the barter comes up so much in random skill-checks when talking I wouldn’t leave it behind at base either... so far armor modding is the only thing I use extras for and it seams that I can keep the pace with the game skill-wise... also you don’t need to specifically dig with the prospector anyone who digs have a chance to find the nuggets...

Rookie tip- always reload your guns after every battle, make it a habit. God i love wasteland 2 & 3

Give your sadist sneaky sniper a rocket launcher. Rockets don't miss, deal close to sniper damage, aoe and sneak attack works. You don't have to add points on explosive unless you want to max out damage.

Here’s my tip. When you finally fight the giant robot scorpion when it randomly appears use the truck to run it over because it instantly kills it. Have a good day.

If you have an animal whisper and he already have a companion you can get another by having someone else from your team start a conversion with that animal, like for the young bison

Setting up ambushes in chokepoints are grate just get your snipers and heavy gunners set up then send your fastest character with lots of AP to start the fight then run out of there lureing them into the ambush

I learned that you will never run out of ammo of certain ammo types by just making a new character with that weapon and if gives you ammo with them too.

Don't know if anybody knows yet but i found out certain weapons double scale their damage off of two skill and not just one Like a Laser Rifle that is Automatic scales off of weird science and Automatic weapons giving it multiple buffs to damage Found this out when i used a two Small Arms specialists and one had Weird Science Maxed then i got a Laser Shotgun and with the SA only the max damage was around 200 but the SA and WS Character bumped the max damage to 290

I use a speedy brawler/melee with mechanics, nerd and sneaky to run through the enemy territory unseen, deactivate turrets, hack things, and so on before a fight. Can also position behind the enemy and let your sniper or rocket launcher guy start the fight on the opposite side, then melee guy smacks the snipers and other shooters from behind, use deployables, whatever you need. You could do this with a sub-machine gun user, too, if you'd rather that over melee/brawling, since sub-machine guns are very short range weapons.

Strike attack has always 95% chance of success. So you may use strike not for special benefits but for taking out enemy in cover or otherwise with a really low chance of hitting it.

Fun tip, use jitter or shrinking on a high or maxed speed character, ideally a mopey poet, it creates an effective dodge-tank. Crouching in the open and defending, watching every single attack miss them from a scropitron is just satisfying.

There are 2 lets say exploits. Under "barter" there is perk which gives you 5% chance to sell junk for 50x bigger price. Item named junk stacks to 9999. So you can buy it for 1$ each or sell it for 1$. So buy many, lets say 6000 and resell it few times until it hits you for 50x more price. So you actually get 300 000 for 6000 junk :) Also for me when I try to create character which looks same, it have same name and stats, it crashes game on "confirm creation" dialogue and when you come back into game, you will have 8 recruits in same time, instead max 6 :)

Try to sell all your junk and items to a vendor that you're never gonna use (for me it was that manners guy from the bizarre) if you buy all the stock from a merchant when you reload (or exit and enter their screen) they will have refreshed their stock, so you can buy as many mods and ammo and healing items as your pockets can afford

Barter perk that have a 5% to sell junk for x50 price is nice. I have sold sh*t for around 20-30k $ more then once. Kinda OP

Use kodiak to run over enemies in encounter (plus trophy)... it will damage the kodiak but useful for harder enemies and don't forget to repair it after.

Save everything and sell nothing until you get barter to level 7 with the antiques appraiser perk. Then save and sell everything at once.

Careful on making characters for weapon barter and armor modding there is a bug that will screw up a characters stats when you pul them back out! Always save before doing this.

Sooo is making characters with maxed armor\weapon upgrade and barter skills is viable? Don't you need them during the gameplaw outside the base? And how long it takes to get to the HQ to make new characters and take trinkets from premade ones? And could you afford it right away after getting to HQ?

Here's a Tip if you mess up your main two characters. You can just remove them from your party, and make a new copy of them with the same name. Doesn't really matter if they aren't the originals because they don't really say anything, and npcs just call you rangers anyways.

If I have a dedicated medic, should they be healing ppl in combat or does the say rank 4 medic skill on my dedicated healer count for the whole team letting everyone heal themselves for the rank 4 amount?

One thing I learned that made the game really broken is, if you start a fight by throwing a grenade from neutral, you can quickly auto target an enemy with a sniper or just a gun using team member and attack before the grenade even hits. Plasma and frost grenades are super effective in this regard as not only do you usually get an insta-kill from the sniper shot. Enemies start the fight de-buffed or on fire, and the de-buffs sticks for full duration as if the fight was already in turned based mode. Saving you the opening turn to do some DPS rather than nading first turns.

fun fact, you can use the med kits on yourself regardless of skill. you just cant equip them in your quickslot

I don't know if this is glitched, but I made a character specifically for modding. "Maude" is her name. She's useless in combat so we only bring her in when modifying stuff. When we're done the game forces us to pay for the other member that we just had in our squad. Am I doing it wrong? Seems you should be able to swap characters for free

i try to have at least 1 first aid on all characters so when u get a first aid conversation everyone in your party get exp.

You really downplayed the importance of the first aid skill. Combat medic is a key character since the physical therapy skill you get under first aid really can be a tide turner and save you injury kits. And I added the perk striking distance to my combat medic to increase speed even further so he can revive from across the map. And the med station is crucial on maps where you have to defend or is pinned down by the enemy , but, you need first aid 7 to use it 😅

Kill the synths. Don't fall for their childlike voices. If you kill all the synths you get a skill that can give you up to 50% crit when you max it out. And make sure you don't get any cybernetic enhancements on any of your characters or you won't be able to unlock that skill. 50% crit chance is crazy high.
