He disappears later in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if the message to meet with Ambassador Crocker is the trigger for removing him since killing him is so tempting and reputation loss after receiving the pardon is irreversible.

I think the NCR has the best government, despite it's problems, which is yet another reason to side with House, because support for General Oliver and President Kimball (and their imperialist expansion as they cannot hold the territory they have) is HARDLY of any REAL long term benefit to the NCR. But come on, this cat should know that that kind of self righteous bullshit does NOTHING to convince anyone who likes the Legion. Inb4 dumbass "I'm NoT pAyInG tAxEs! AvE tRuE To CaEsAr" quote that pretends paying "tribute" to Caesar isn't a form of taxation. It is. Also, yes there's the Yes Man ending, but no matter how high your speech/barter, your intelligence and your karma, your character is always depicted as causing the Wasteland to go into complete chaos as a result of this decision. Yes, this is retarded, as are the people who wrote that ending, but since it's canon to the lore, that's the reason not to go with Yes Man.

They would absolutely and without a doubt destroy memorials, statues, museums, all of it. Erasure of the tribes they envelop into their legion is absolutely necessary for them, which includes their history, culture, and art which can't be appropriated for legion means (even then they might still destroy it, that much isn't stated in the text)
