In late BFDI, early BFDIA and BFB, Bomby is quite jumpy and gets scared very easily, as often seen when his fuse is lit, because it causes him to blow up. This is a regular occurrance as other contestants, some belonging to his own team, use him as a weapon before he can interact with them. His voice is pitched up considerably, and sped up (though his voice lines can be understood if slowed down). He is also quite gluttonous, and he is often seen snacking on a banana or cake slice, one time weighing the former more valuable than his life to Black Hole. He eventually gets used to his purpose as a weapon, and at one point willingly ignites himself to save his team in Don't Dig Straight Down. In post-hiatus BFDIA and TPOT, Bomby undergoes a mild shift in personality, becoming more brave, joyful and independent (as he mentions to Fries in BFDIA 10). He now tries retaliating if other contestants attempt to kill him (though still to mostly no avail), and he makes an effort to keep his own survival in check. On occasion, he's even learned to strategically leverage his own destruction in emergencies, such as when he destroyed Pillow to stop her killing spree in Outbreak At Stake. Due to this, he has many more opportunities to engage with other contestants, and generally leads a happier lifestyle. His voice is also slower and a lot easier to understand, suggesting he's learned to control his frantic demeanor.
