It was lovely to see City Stars after all these years and see you enjoying your time there. In Egypt almost all international brands are available, just depends on where you're looking and Seoudi is a huge supermarket. There used to be a Spinney's in there too but I think they closed (haven't been there in almost 10 years).

@@girlsontheloose1 yeah I heard they were closing a few years ago. Hope you manage to go to Zamalek and Tahrir as well, they have a different vibe. They represent Khedive era between 1800s to early 1900s. Have fun!

Hahah well I did many things and they're all coming in the next weeks, but going to a mall was important, also many viewers like to see a mall in every country. Funny that! Hang in there Alan, heaps of good stuff coming :)

Thank you for sharing this. We're headed there for Christmas and we plan to stay in the hotel attached to the mall so our kids can have something to do when not visiting ancient sites. What would you say that the time was (drive) from the Cairo area to Heliopolis?

It wasn't long at all. I would say don't try it at peak hour in the afternoon, but around 10am to lunchtime it only took about 20 mins I think and taxis are almost free especially if you use uber.

Would hate to lose your kid in that mall, just the supermarket would be a nightmare,. Noticed there weren't any in your blog vlog (whatever it's called) maybe for that reason?
