Caitlin averaged 35 minutes a game during her Iowa career, but did play 40 minutes (or more) about one of seven games.

@@RichardIILionheart the reason she averaged less than 40 minutes was because she was taken out of blowout games. In the most competitive games, she usually played 38 or 39 minutes (only coming out for a few seconds, usually at the end of a quarter or just before a tv timeout).

I don’t think she needs to play every minute with how physical she is guarded but I wouldn’t pull her in the fourth unless the game is out of hand!

The coach needs to make them run sprints for every easy layup they miss. Not only would it encourage them to clean it up, but would improve their speed & stamina. Unfortunately with 7 games in 12 days, you're not getting practice days. And I don't think it is a good idea to take Boston out of the starting lineup. I see Boston as someone that benefits from the carrot vs the stick approach. Boston is improving each game & I don't want to see her confidence drop & make her play worse. And Sides has no problem using people off the bench for longer than she plays her starters. And most importantly, I have seen how CC & Boston are trying to figure it out & work together. They really like each other & I see them trying to help & support each other on this team.

That's what I thought, maybe she just watched a few clips of Clark's college game, and she came out not that impressed, that is why she is determined especially at the first games to have Caitlin fit into her system instead of adjusting her coaching to fit into her star's strength, she just thought Clark was another good shooter and not the generational talent she is (at least till college).

Boston is dealing with a post-rookie slump. They only have a 2 wk training camp so players have to keep up their stamina & skills in the off season on their own. Many do this by playing overseas, but Boston was a commentator instead. So she messed up & was out of shape coming in this year. She's getting there & will get out of her slump, but because she is a slower big, they have to find better ways to mesh Boston with CC's faster pace style. I have seen how CC & Boston are trying to figure it out & work together. Clark & Boston do really like each other & I see them trying to help & support each other on this team in other ways too, so I think we have to have patience with Boston & hope the coach doesn't screw it up any worse than she already has.

@@amyk6319 You make a good point, I think. The two of them (Clark and Boston) do seem to like and respect each other. I wonder, however, about Boston’s ability to catch the ball cleanly and make an immediate move to the basket. She seems to want a dribble and that gives the defense a chance to recover.

Who actually cares? She did this to herself, and it's nobodies fault but hers, for getting Fat, Way Out Of Shape, and completely Apathetic and Complacent with Losing.

Yeah she needs to stop playing at the perimeter. And she takes the ball at the baseline when the fever is coming out of the defensive zone. She needs to get her ass into the paint

CC really didn't need a big body at Iowa. All she needs is a couple lengthy forwards with some speed so she can hit them in transition. Boston's not doing the job

The Sky just drafted two bigs. They don't need another. But I am very jealous of the Sky players ,because they do have a great coach in Tspoon. Despite Boston coming into the season out of shape & not ready, I want her to stay on the Fever. She is a good player & I think she can get over this slump & be a great on this team. The problem is this coach is horrible & doesn't know what she is doing. For ex. Sides has Boston doing pick & rolls w/CC but Boston can't get into position before the heavy coverage on CC recovers from the screen. My hope is that the Fever will fire Sides & gets a competent coach who knows what they are doing. There are other ways Boston can get into a good position & get assists from CC. And most importantly, I have seen how CC & Boston are trying to figure it out & work together. They really like each other & I see them trying to help & support each other on this team.

I do think that the Fever's starting schedule of 7 games in 12 days was purposeful & that the WNBA just wanted to use CC's fame & attention to show off their top teams in the league. Not only was this horrible marketing, but also, with so many games with no rest & the constant full court double & triple teaming CC is facing from defenders, it is a risk to her health. They are delusional if they think they can use CC like a rented mule & her fans will just jump over to support another team or players. But I just don't think Sides is that smart. I do think her plan has been to use CC as bait to pull defenders & get other players more shots b/c she has mentioned that often. And yes she favors Wheeler & Wallace over all the other players. She brought them in with her when she became Fever head coach b/c they played with her in Atlanta when she was the asst coach. But I think its not just favoritism, its because Sides coaching ability is just really really limited. And since she can't change or adapt, she's stuck in the only coaching style she knows from back in her days as assistant coach in Atlanta days which always used Wheeler & Wallace. I have heard theories where people that think its all about betting which has increased tremendously since Clark joined the WNBA. They think Sides is getting paid to make sure the odds against Caitlin Clark stay in the houses favor.
