Goosebumps. She is a REAL HOOPER. Generational player. Almost felt like I was watching Steph or Luka on some of those plays. She put this entire team on her back. Never been this excited for WBB before. At this level of greatness, women's or men's basketball it's clear she is insanely special. Excited to see how she takes the game forward.

Little known secret that people who have never watched women's basketball don't know. But for the longest time (this has changed now) your average woman basketball player was probably a better shooter than your average nba player. Ive always suspected that this was due to the fact that they really couldnt focus on bigs and dunking and instead emphasized fundamentals more, which a lot of male basketball players could use.

I thought of Larry Bird an the Celtics 1980's offense with the High Screens for Larry with the screener rolling to the bucket. When the Iowa Post players set high ball screens an Clark has the ball and those post players roll to bucket, Clark hits them on the dime. Brought me back to the 1980s when Robert "Chief" Parish sets the high screen/pick and then rolled, Larry would hit him on the dime and the Chief would stuff it. Beautiful basketball to watch.

This young lady is a marvel with the basketball. The way she gets her team involved with the assists her team feeds off her energy. I hope she wins it all tomorrow for the state of Iowa and all her fans/supporters and admirers. Win or lose I will be watching where she plays she is going to change the WNBA if and when she gets there. My favorite play in the highlight clip is the up and under fall away jumper over the 6'7 SC player masterful my god and so smooth! This is greatness and it needs to be appreciated she is doing things that haven't been done in this Final Four :)

She reminds me of Steve Nash the way she runs the pick and roll and the way she using angles to penetrate. Also her vision and the way she surveys the floor allows her to always make the right play. Or if Tim Duncan was a guard I would imagine he would play like her.

if she reminds us both of Steve Nash for " the way she runs the pick and roll and the way she using angles to penetrate", she reminds me of Duncan in one thing: outright seriousness during games. She is so into the game, nothing fazes her. When she really celebrates a basket it will be a once in a lifetime moment, like Duncan when he nailed the 3 pointer in OT vs the Suns in 2008

Truly the women's game has been evolving and the skill set has rising for at least 5 years their tournament has been so entertaining especially the eltie 8 and final four so many classic games. Also no more dominant teams like the Vols or Uconn so you never really know who's going to win. Caitlyn is a beast as well can't wait to see her on the next level.

I started to really pay attention to the tournament a couple years ago, caught a bit of some years back as well, especially after Mississippi Stat defeated UConn the last time the Final Four was in Dallas (5-ish years ago). Maybe it's happening now to them what happened after John Wooden retired. UCLA stopped being dominant and it blew the door open for balance. There are things to improve yet, but as you said, the level has been rising for a little while. Good stuff

The announcers kept repeating the same thing: Iowa was facing the overwhelming strength and size of South Carolina. However, they forgot the quickness and fluidity of Iowa. Caitlin Clark is reminiscent of Larry Bird when he played at Indiana State. She can be unstoppable on the court.
