Caitlin Clark's Performance Shuts Diana Taurasi's Claims at Indiana Fever vs Dallas Wings Game

Caitlin Clark has Responded to Diana Taurasi's Claims that she would find it hard to adjust to The WNBA atmosphere. Diana Taurasi said WNBA is not like college basketball where Clark was playing against 18 year olds. By having the best performance in the Indiana Fever vs Dallas Wings Preseason game, Caitlin Clark seem to have given Diana Taurasi the best response. Actions speak louder than words.

Yup,agreed! The only way Taurasi's words made sense is if they were meant to create a buzz,or hype FOR Caitlin Clark (much like what they call "heat" in WWE). Like any other sports league,the WNBA needs some fierce rivalries-and,even though the Fever and Mercury arent in the same conference,the WNBA audience is usually younger,more age-conscious and more social media-savvy than in most sports leagues. This will turn into "Gen Z shuts the Boomers up AGAIN" (the irony being that Taurasi is still only 41,which makes her a Millennial)

That's not who that Skank is. Tarausi is a MASSIVELY butthurt individual. She's ate up with jealousy. Because she's been playing in the WNBA (Wokester National BullDy*ke Association) for 20 years and nobody knew who she was until she started hating on Clark.
@ukyo2010

Agreed. And they really should hope Caitlin is successful, as that would help the league become more profitable, which it currently is not. Being profitable is good for all of the players. It makes higher salaries and perks possible. I have seen some WNBA players complain about their leagues low salaries. But WNBA is perpetually unprofitable. They are lucky to have jobs at all.

I think you're right. The difference between the best college men and the NBA is pretty huge. I think a game between the best college women's team and an average WNBA team would pretty competitive. The worst professional NBA men's team would destroy the best NCAA men's team. I don't believe that would be the case with the women. The professional women are better than the college but I don't think they're that much better than the best female college players. Women also reach their physical peak at a younger age than men.

Caitlin shooting 40% from the floor is considered excellent??? 38% from 3pt line??? There was over 20 WNBA players shot 40% or better from the 3pt line last year. It is a nice start ...but great??? No!!+

Enjoyed the Commentary 👍 I will Share my Main Point & a greater Concern, at the Bottom here of My Comments, because it was a part of the game that is a concern beyond the Teams, that Im sure many others Saw. -I think for a Pre-season game, it didnt look too bad, Room for Adjustment & Improvement needed All around. Caitlin Transitioned Well, & Honestly Half the Fever players seemed in sync, & The other Half didnt. Had they All got Together into Solid Gameplay Rhythm, it wouldve been much Better. Also It must be hard for all WNBA Coaches trying to fine tune what works & doesnt work, in only a limited couple of Pre-seaon games, inter-changing/rotating Players, while knowing also Rosters have to be trimmed. My Hats off to WNBA Coaches for juggling that difficult Task with such Time limits. I Love Aliyah, but she did appear sluggish, out of focus & rhythim & much slower than her norm. She could just be tired too. I wish other players would’ve stepped up underneath in adjustment, Providing more targets near the basket, that could’ve been a game changer, Even though it was only preseason. Taking nothing away from My Fever & Fave Caitlin, Dallas was stellar in shooting, just Fact. But there were many many Fever missed shots that couldve changed things, especially the score. I sincerely know that all the players on the Feve really did try. Again, It had to be hard coming and going rotating players, jumping right in, And then continuously coming in and going back out, that could’ve added to the players not being able to get into a rhythm. So realistically, I’m confident that once season starts for All The Teams, and their Rosters are set and their subs I think it will be much different. -Lastly, Greatest Concern, My concern was the poor officiating by the referees. Again, we’re all just giving opinions here, I went back 2 more times, watched the entire game twice more to be sure, Did anyone else notice- Almost nearly every time Dallas went down to score, Officials would call a foul on the Fever, almost every single time. But every time that the Fever went down to score, they were Smacked on, pulled, Slapped, entangled, & shoved, & hardly a foul was called on Dallas. I honestly think that had it not been for the aggressive Fouls of Dallas Many of the fever shots likely could have gone in, especially underneath close to the Basket. It is a Physical Game, Right, Okay we know that, & Yes calls do go both ways, But these Refs - good grief man, Just Foul Call Happy & I feel just let the game Flow & Let Players Play The Game, if a Balatant Foul Occurs, Like what Dallas Players were doing then Call it, & Importantly When Ayou Call it, Make it Fair & Unbiased Equally For Both Teams! A Game should Sincerely come down to who scored The Most points, NOT How many Foul Calls by Refs were Unfairly Called or Not called on a Team. -Refs Please Get Yourself together & Make Sound Descusions now in Presason, -Because So Important This is a New Unprecented Era For WNBA, & Womens Basketball, With so many Positive Affects, The World & Country are Tuned in, and it would be a Great comfort to know that a Game came down to Points, & NOT Biases bt Officials that are supposed to be Professionals at the Professional level. Thank You. I went back to read my comments here, and I Noticed there are lines in the middle section Thru some of my comments. Just want to note, I do not know where those Lines came from? Puzzled I hope everybody can still read.

I bet the transition from college to wnba is minimal. These women don't get much better, if at all. Plus, they get heavier, older, slower, etc. She will come in and dominate the same. It's not like men's basketball, college vs. nba.

I remember when the wnba first started with women like lisa leslie and rebecca lobo. I watched a few games but lost interest. I watched highlights of Caitlin's first preseason game and was blown away. The hype is real. She deserves the attention she gets. Its sad her fellow wnba players are showing jealously when they should lift her up like they do for others because Clark has real potential to bring more eyes to the wnba which can bring more $ for the league which means more $ for the players.

these female players that has been playing in the wnba are jealous because its because of caitlin that people are starting to watch the wnba a little more. i have yet see any of the other female players go to the nba all star game and make an impression like caitlin did when she went up against a really good 3 point shoot, steph curry, and almost won against him. so as the taylor swift song goes, "haters gonna hate, hate, hate..."
