Her great performance against Sabrina Ionescu exposed her extraordinary abilities and tenacity, dispelling any doubts on whether she could excel in the WNBA. Although she was playing against tough defense and had initially struggled too much, she defied all odds and led Indiana Fever to an important win against New York Liberty. Remarkably, she made history by getting a triple-double as a rookie in the WNBA. Caitlin Clark’s influence goes beyond the basketball court evidenced by her numerous achievements in endorsements and how she has popularized the league. It is only through her consistent growth and prowess in difficult situations that one can understand that she is indeed destined for greatness in future as far as women basketball sport is concerned worldwide thereby capturing hearts of many who are interested globally.

I agree, however the catfighting is. almost non stop and seems like fighting in hockey intrinsic to the womens' game. I don't like it, at all. I started watching when Caitlin was intentionally fouled and knocked to the floor, Icant say I have enjoyed it very much. Sometimes there is good passing but ALL these gals are lead footed. There is virtually NO jumping , and it's all about layups pretty boring if you ask me. Caitlins shooting is on a level with Steph Curry . Why doesnt Golden State hire her as a back up?

She will be one of the best, if not the very best. But going by stats, she's not even in the top 15 yet. Just let her grow, man. She doesn't need all this fan freak. Doesn't want it, either. Just wants to play ball. Without other players, doesn't really work. She respects them, even if you don't.

@@christopherlyons5900Her attitude and composure are also great assets. Even now she would make a better mentor and coach for the fever. She's the rookie!! Her team mates are finally following her and bettering themselves as unit. I think her coach has an agenda against her. Full disclosure: I haven't watched BB ( NBA) since the 90's. I'm a rugby guy as it's our international season ( go the mighty All Blacks). However, I watched the Fever's last game now know some WMBA players names. As I've recently started following it. @@Innercentric She's still ranked #14, at present, right below teammate Kelsey Mitchell. Just above Diana Taurasi, which is pretty damn good. She ain't the top-ranked white player, either. Sabrina Ionescu is at #6, Breanna Stewart #8, Kelsey Plum #10. She's definitely the highest-ranked rookie. Going by stats from this season. And what else do you go by? Social Media Profile? She'd sneer at the very thought--she stays the hell away from online discussions about her. Doesn't want any part of that crap. Obviously on a team, everybody helps everybody, and Caitlin has been helping her teammates. That matters to her. For some reason, not to many who claim to respect her.

This girl is a young female Larry Bird. When Bird and Magic Johnson came into the NBA there were no live televised games. Even the playoffs and finals were tape delayed. Their rivalry and personalities on the court brought attention and attendance to the league and saved the NBA. Bird also faced the same type of criticism that Caitlin is getting being a white player with the type of game that was far better than what was in the league. He was a dominate scorer, defender, rebounder and passer against what were considered much more athletic and talented players. Isaiah Thomas even said if he were black he would be considered just a good player. Bird transcended race and only thought of how good a player was not what color they were proving the "race baiting" to be totally unfounded. Caitlin needs her Magic Johnson to step up and be the player that just plays ball to become the rival that each other looks to for inspiration to work harder and be better.. It would be the boost the WNBA has needed for a long time.

AR has a one-dimensional talent - under the boards. CC has everything else, the greatest of which is court vision and generalship. I think she also is getting a raw deal from the refs at times. She is getting more bumps/hits than any other point guard. I hope she keeps her head up, doesn’t complain and learns to overcome. She is drawing great crowds in every game and most of her teammates have huge improvements over last year. It will only get better for her. My only critique is she slows her movement after passing and sometimes stands still. If you want the ball back you need to fight off/over one and sometimes two screens. Go watch Larry Bird back in early eighties. He worked twice as hard without the ball as he did with it so they couldn’t guard him. She needs to do that. Maybe better conditioning in the off season will elevate her game even further.

The pettiness comes from the fact that the WNBA players and coaches have come from complacency and do not want to grow as a real league. The WNBA itself, coming from the NBA itself, wants a firebrand such as Johnson, Bird, Jordan, or James, to draw in more attention, make sales, and drive up the quality of the sport. The Fever for the last few years have hovered at the bottom of their conference. We have to see how things develop with CC. Don't be surprise if the Fever can't hold her as a gifted player or that her coach may be sent packing if she can't help build a team around her.

I beleived WNBA players who kept on criticizing Clark only tells one thing.. they are all insecure of Clark. They envy her game, her skills, her fame, her influence, her populairty . Just wait until she gained more experience in the league because she could be the WNBAs greatst player ever... the WNBA face around the Globe.. like the Jordan of WNBA.. People/Fans like her not just because of her basketball skills and acolades but because she remains to be humble.

Fever / Sky game attendance was limited! So viewers were not able to be there! Watching was only way to get it!

The players who are jealous of Caitlin's abilities need to grow up and appreciate her contributions to the interest she brings to the WNBA and in turn to them as well. Individual jealousy and immaturity just gets in the way too often.

I knew that when they were double teaming her, face guarding and other things she would find a different way to play to still score or assist. This would only make her stronger. She’s a quick learner
