Tour of the new Bandai Namco Cross Store in the UK, in Camden market in London.
This is the first Bandai Namco Cross store outside Japan! It's part games arcade, part shop, with gachapon, anime figures, UFO catchers, merchandise and the One Piece card game. Everything's official, and it's run by Bandai Namco, just like in Japan. Amazing! This was exactly what I was looking for, glad they invited you along to the preview! The gachapon prices are about what I expected, but boy three times the price of an ichibankuji ticket in japan 😰 still looking forward to checking it out, thanks for the video!

Thanks! That's London for you! I'd be annoyed if I spent £14 and got a clear file, but other people seemed to be going for it. I saw someone get the top prize on one of them.

Despite having literally grown up with the likes of Luffy and Goku, I still get a child-like happiness whenever i see the figures. That Gachapon section is so lit, rivals the likes of Akiba! Thanks for the video!

I have visited the Namco style place in Newcastle,i loved it! We played the claw machines and i got that Animal Crossing small snow globe,gave me a small taste of Japan

Went today, the gachapon were really fun (I got the skateboarding hedgehog!), and loved the stationery especially the mofusand, none of it is cheap though and could see it costing me a lot if I was nearer.

Great video, I was waiting for somebody to properly explore and video the gachapon section! You always do a great job. I did see someone on Twitter say that there was no digimon merch/gachapon available yet, which is a shame. Hopefully the store thrives and they'll update their merch with even more stuff!

Thanks! No, I didn't see any Digimon stuff, but I'm sure they'll be adding more in future. There were one or two gacha machines with "coming soon" so fingers crossed for you!

I am excited this is here and I don’t live far from it however I am going to Japan in October so want to avoid this until I come back. Might sound odd but I want to have my first experience in Japan itself and Japan is so near.

The place looks cool and I would have so much fun at the stationery section. However...£14 for an Ichiban Kuji? I understand mark-ups for imports, but that's a bit more than the 700 Yen RRP on the ticket.

Yeah, for me, I'd be annoyed if I paid £14 and got a clear file. It's good value if you win a larger prize, but it's risky!

Yes, they're more expensive than in Japan. Everything from Japan costs more in the UK - I was surprised when I first went to Japan! 😅

You'll love it! Tokens are £2 each, you can see the machine where you buy them at 3:20.

I’m curious as to how the London Gachapon prices compare to the ones in Japan. I’m actually a bit gutted, I took my daughter to London last month and we passed on going to Camden. Think a trip back is needed!

In Japan, gachapon are usually 300 or 400 yen, which is about £1.60 or £2.20 (exchange rate is good right now so they may be slightly more). Everything in Japan's a lot cheaper than in the UK, in general, and things from Japan are always more expensive when you buy them in the UK. For me, it's hard to buy them here when I know how much they are in Japan, but if you have no plans to go to Japan, you can at least try them out and have the experience of buying them from the machine!

Looks cool, can’t wait to visit, but a bit disappointed by the arcade, I was hoping for more games that you usually only see in Japan like the Taiko drumming game and the Japanese style crane games. But the arcade looks pretty generic.

The Arcade Club in Leeds have the Taiko drumming game and the table flipping game, as well as some other Japanese Arcade games! Well worth a trip if you get the chance!

I feel like the kuji may be rigged esp at £14 a pop. I like in Japan you can pick your own ticket.

I don't think they're rigged - I saw people winning low and high prizes, and those sheets show which prizes have been won already. They're just more expensive than in Japan (like everything in London).

Camden really isn't what it used to be anymore, it's all too mainstream now and if there is one store/stall selling something there will be 10 more along the road. There really isn't anything alternative are weird left there!
