There's been talk about cakran being the love child of Joe cocker and tina turner .That as a child he was often left alone sampling and gulping brandies and whiskies in the household bar nook which explains how his voice evolved into a husky soulful tone.

Wonderful reaction Jen! I agree with @Robb Branche that he definitely has strong Joe Cocker-like quality to his sound. And obviously loves what he's doing. I don't think many musicians smile, smirk, or grin as much as this guy does. Great fun! Loved your analysis along the way too. I'm no singer but the how-they breakdowns are always interesting (and sometimes comical 😆) to learn from.

I agree with Sarlina, you can't go wrong. Having said that, if one wants a good sense of all that he is capable of, I'd suggest a reaction to his covers of either "Make It Rain" (Sheeran) or "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" (Celine Dion).

Great reaction! You'd love his Demi Lovato covers - Anyone, Stone Cold, Skyscraper. He does a good Joe Cocker cover and Take Me to Church by Hozier. Others have mentioned Iris. Cakra has a unique voice and style.

Found Jennifer's review of CK to be both insightful and fun as well. In particular, appreciated her pointing out the subtle postural changes CK was using to stay connected with his bodily support. I'd never have noticed them by myself! Judging from her comments, it seems that Jennifer is not well acquainted with the great Indonesian singers that have recently burst onto the pop music stage. In addition to doing more CK, I'd suggest that she review Felix Irwan, another Indonesian, whose voice and styling are as special in its way as is Chakra Khan's. Perhaps Felix's cover of either "When We Were Young" (Adele) or "You Are the Reason" (Calum Scott). They are extraordinary.

The movement is more like a habit, in some songs he doesnt move his mouth or jaw. Sometimes he did steained her vocal when he push way too much but most of times he nailed it hahaha but hey couldnt be perfect all the time.
