why are acids referred as monoBASIC or diBASIC etc? surely it be monoprotic or diprotonic etc?

+MaChemGuy Is it possible to do Ka with dibasic acid, and if its possible, could we be given a question on it?

+Le Patron yes but no. You may be asked to write Ka expressions for each dissociation
