I really want the sign and trade kind of thing. Give him the deal, the term, the money he deserves, with the understanding we will likely trade him in a year and let him approve the trade partners. Then he gets his term and money, and we get another year to develop a young center. Just remember when those young kids contracts come up, they will chase the $$$$$$$$$$$$$. So they very easily could be gone. It will be all about Cap space. Joe is smart, he won't be like Edmonton and use a huge amount of money on just a few players. That's why they have had such a good team over the last several years.

This year Aube-Kubel, Lehkonen are RFA, Burakovsky, Cogliano, Helm, Kadri, Nichushkin, Sturm, J. Johnson, Manson and Murray are all UFA. Next year MacKinnon, Compher and EJ are UFA and Newhook and Byram are RFA.
