For Q.8 calendar for months of april will not be same as that of july, because april has 30 days while july has 31 days. So both april and july will start on same day of week but will end on different days of week.

Answers for the Practice questions - 1. Sunday 1994 = 1600 + 100 + 23(leap year) + 71(normal year) Which gives, 0+5+46+71 days = 122 days = 122/7 weeks = 17 weeks and 3 odd days Consider 1995 upto 5th April Jan(31) + Feb(28) + Mar(31) + Apr(5) = 95 days = 95/7 weeks = 13 weeks and 4 odd days Therefore, total odd days = 3+4 = 7 days = 1 week = 0 odd days 0 represents a Sunday Hence, it was a Sunday on 5th April 1795 2. Sunday Mar(16) + Apr(30) + May(31) + June(30) + July(31) + Aug(31) + Sept(31) + Oct(30) + Nov(15) = 245 days = 245/7 weeks = 35 weeks and 0 odd days 0 represents a Sunday Hence, it is a Sunday on 15th November. When you solved question 1, i was like WHAT!!!!!!
