The fact that Oettinger almost saved that is freaking incredible. That's hands down the greatest goalie performance I have ever seen from the team losing the series. Even the freakin Predators might have beaten the Avs with him in next. Flames dominated virtually every aspect of the game all series, so it shouldn't have been close much less a game 7 overtime series. The only reason, Oettinger.

Oettinger was amazing! Disappointing he had to lose in this fashion but he definitely has a career with Dallas after this performance. Bring on the battle of Alberta!

I'm happy he lost. For a team to work that hard and lose to a goalie would be terrible, Otter was a brick wall I have never witnessed anything like that it was nuts!

I am a die hard flames fan and I even feel bad for the stars goaltender otteinger. It was basically a one man team for the stars. I mean he made 64 saves in this game. That's insane. And with all respect I wouldn't feel nearly as bad for him if he actually just had support from his teammates but instead they all left him hanging.

Balderdash!! Otter’s teammates played as if their lives depended on it & b/c so did not let him down! Credit the Flames for their better talent & grit for prevailing. Markstrom was also pretty brilliant throughout! Calgary demonstrated exceptional character in winning this series against an overachieving opponent.

It's great on TV, but it's "other worldly" in the arena. There's nothing in sports that quite matches the "explosion" when a big goal is scored. The noise reaches dangerous levels. Fans wind up being haorse for days afterwards. That parking lot scene was better than a mosh pit at a rock concert.

I live in Ottawa so when that goal went in at 12:56 am, I had to really work hard to restrain myself. I fist bumped half a dozen times, throw my pillow off the bed, and then picked it up and muffle screamed into it with ecstasy. Had work in the morning though so I had to go to sleep 10 mins later. Glad to come back and watch this, thanks for uploading. Papayas > melons

Good thing they didn’t score the first time in the zone!!! They were off sides! 00:17 So glad the flame won!!! I’m an avs fan but to see them outshoot and outplay the stars 2/1 it would suck ass to see them loose. I’ll all about the better team winning. And that can change night to night. But the flames go on. And it’s also good to see a Canadian team win. As you know they’re nuts in Canada 😂🏆🏆🏆. Go AVS!!! Can’t wait for the next series to start

I'm not a fan of either team, and from the stats in this game and throughout the series, the better team finally won. HOWEVER, how was that not icing on the dump-in? Stone didn't quite get the red line, from what I saw. Maybe the Stars player touched it on his release, and that negated icing? Not sure.

Yes, Stars player deflected it into the zone - I was at the game and the back ref called the deflection and waved off the icing
