Hi Dave, this was Diana's 6th song on The Mask and the first where it became obvious it was Diana - she was unmasked after her 9th performance, so didn't get to the final - well she did, but only in the audience! It was episode 6. All Diana's fans iimediately recognized her in this performance, but nothing of Judges! It was so wear. Only in episode 7 judges undersood that Diana is in Ermine mask. Becouse it was so much comments at Califoria Dreaming. And in episode 7 Diana sing by her own voice too and in Ruaaian. But nobody can recognised Diana in episodes 1-5 including her fans.

Greetings from Scotland! Hey Dave! California Dreamin' was an original from the group "Mama's and Papa's". This 6th show was the point where Diana "exposed" her voice and it became obvious it was her, BUT she added those really high (for her) notes and that threw everything slightly askew! Clever girl, she did just enough to put some doubt in the judges minds! I also believe that everyone wanted to see just what else Diana had to offer and even in the 9th show they reluctantly asked her to unmask, with sadness! So here are the 9 performances in order. No, Diana did not win. She went through 9 stages out of 12. After the 6th stage, many viewers who found out began to write negative things about Diana that she constantly wins. Then Diana did not hide her voice in order to leave the project.😪
