He cleared it before, besides, it’s actually better to blip your siren as the first part of it starts higher, then goes lower, hence the high low in the CHp siren. A human hear will have a better chance at hearing a siren at its loudest peak , lol.

@ Avery Carson Not necessarily are the lights and siren shut off at a intersection it just happens to be where the person caught the video. If for example they were responding to a call that was right near that intersection they may want to pull up stealth for instance if the call was a burglar alarm. Pulling right up in front of the call not the best tactical decision and it could make the officer a target. Same goes for a EDP call you want to get there quick depending on the nature and pulling up with lights going and siren blaring may trigger the person. Also something as simple the call was canceled. I could list tons of scenarios but I think you get the idea.

Somebody told you wrong !! You are exempt from the rules of the road while driving code 3...that means no limitations....now is it advisable to slow it down through intersections ? Absolutely but your not held to a speed limit

@@lorenzoadamson6893 maybe wherever your from but not in California. No one is exempt. You can't speed in a fire engine. Less time and harder to stop with a heavy vehicle.

Probably because if they are already pretty much their and it’s on residential streets that are not crowded there is really no point. However when there is some major back up to shots fired it would be different and they would be blasting even as they are on scene

When a officer gets called out to a call sometimes dispatch will say once near the call down grade go code 1 or 2

If your not responding code 3 then your lights don't need to be on full time, that's generally a code 2 response that your seeing
