Hey everyone! I've been craving Mediterranean Sea summer vibes, and I definitely got a taste of it on my two day trip to Catalina Island. Located only 22 miles off the coast of Southern California, Catalina Island is a fantastic destination for a day trip or a multi-day vacation. There is so much to see, do, and explore here, from bison tours, sport fishing, parasailing, scuba diving, sunbathing at Descanso Beach Club, fine dining, hiking, camping, and so much more.

Mark! Think I met you at the bar lol I appreciated the recommendation to check out the dive park before we headed out to Spearfish. We scored some bonita and a couple yellow tails on the sail and the bonita were BOILING just south of Avalon 👊🏿

2 day stay on the island seems like a teaser. The spa alone is half the day of relaxation and relaxation. Restaurants that serve catch of the day is simply heaven. Not to mention if your with that special someone, that’s half of the second day morning ordering room service with all the yummy island food. Great video, I go for broke on the island with five day stay. 🥂

Lived in LA my entire 64 year life, and it is amazing how many LA natives have never been to the island. Best time is in the fall and winter, A little cool, but very few people, clear skies. When I had my boat i went every Friday til Monday for 10 years.

@@anntwin1301 Not necessarily. The crowds aren't terrible. Any later into the summer and it can get pretty crowded. Enjoy!

LOVE Catalina! When I was 12 my parents and I spent a few months at sea on a friends 20 ft sailboat, we were in Catalina for a few...and I’ll never forget it...amaze!🤙🏝Aloha!

I was on Catalina in March, just before things got all COVID-y, and your video was an awesome way to catch up on how things are now. The Atwater is a great hotel, with very kind, caring staff -- and I think they have bikes available (next trip!) Your underwater shots were *amazing* and the "just walking around" reflected my favorite part of my stay, too -- cute houses, gardens and views are everywhere, and nothing is very far away. Thanks for a great job!

as a socal kid since when i was born, catalina island has been a massive part of my childhood and all the other kids in the area. ive gone there every year since i was in kindergarten. one of the middle school camps i went to is just one mountain away (literally right next to) avalon. hiking there every year is so much fun and catalina is really just such an underrated and beautiful place to visit in catalina. my brother is in avalon with his girlfriend too right now and in the same hotel, when worlds collide really. i recommend catalina to anyone who is visiting socal!

I’ve been to Catalina on a school trip, to the USC Wrigley Institute of Environmental Studies, it was honestly the best experience I’ve ever had. I was crossing my fingers to get accepted into their summer internship program, but unfortunately due to the pandemic they had to push it back. So this video made me happy and brought back memories of my trip there! I haven’t been to that side of the island yet, but I’m excited to go someday 🌊💙✨🙏🏼 I also had the opportunity to go snorkeling and witness the beautiful kelp forests, it’s literally an underwater forest😍

Taking my daughter and her boyfriend there on a day trip for her birthday. As a kid we would take the SS Catalina steamship. While the boat was docking people would throw coins in the water for kids to catch and dive for. I figured I could do that & get rich! Grew up and worked as an engineer instead. Great place to visit & thanks for sharing your trip and giving us some up to date info!

Indeed, I had the pleasure of visiting this island back in 2010 and I can TRULY say that I enjoyed ever minute I was there! I mean, it seems as if you've left the US and arrived in a foreign country but, you're right off the coast of Long Beach, CA. There's a LOT to do and the island has some of the BEST views on the planet I would say! I'm in the process right now of trying to plan a return trip there REAL soon hopefully!! 😀👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👌🏾👍🏾❤💯

I live in San Diego and have always wanted to visit. I loved the part where you were scuba diving, what amazing ambiance with the music you put in there, that was really great. Recommend visiting Friday Harbor up in the San Juan Islands someday (and Orcas Island). Friday Harbor is sort of like the Avalon of the Pacific Northwest, an adorable little marina town on an island. I went to Catalina island first time in 1967 on the SS CATALINA STEAM SHIP IVE. FLOWN TO ON A SEAPLANE TOOK ONLY 15 MINUTES i went swiming water is cold about 60 degrees , horseback. riding, we took a tour around the island best trip

Man I remeber rennovation. It was crazy it took all summer but the stay was amazing. We were doing the floors for all the hallways and the rooms. It was absolutely heptic the entire time working there but after hours it was so relaxing. More times than not we got to stay at the Holiday inn or the Hermosa Hotel which our company would rent out the entire building. And it was also here that I suffered my biggest injury cuz my dumbass almost cut my finger off cutting the carpet padding on the seccond floor stair way 😅😅😅
