The geologist in that video is my father. I’m glad to see this till up as this is one of the only things left with his voice on it. He passed in 2011. Love ya pops.

Thank you for the work your father provided and making the video and he seem like a really nice guy and quite at home in the desert❤️👍✨

I originally had uploaded over 600 of Huell's various episodes for years since KCET was dragging their feet but they eventually dropped the hammer on my channel and shut me down with 40+ copyright strikes. They didnt have to be so harsh but they were. So im hesitant on posting anymore shows with Huell.

Your father seemed like a great man! As long as you keep his laughter and spirit in your thoughts and heart, he will always be close by😉! May God Bless you and your family, and stay safe!

I followed the original Turdlok page and all of its California’s Gold videos. Keep up the sharing. This is great

I LOVE California! Still beautiful. I visit California multiple times a year. I live in New York City--the most Fantastic city on this planet.

This was great. But, there is another falls just down the back road out of Trona. Past the Fire/Ranger's station a little ways. Surprised Huell didn't find that.

It's called the Trona Pinnacles, named after the nearby mining town of Trona. I've been there a few times and spent the night among the pinnacles. It's a surreal landscape...

Trona translates (???) to "high chair" ?🤣?! Actually Trona means "What's that smell"?

Too bad Huell didn't live long enough to do episodes with his personal comments as follow up.

The very least amount of information you could have included would be original air date

You are correct. I can't even do that. Sometimes, I can be disgusted by my lack of effort.

Where is the big ol' volcano that supposedly spewed all these rocks out here ? Must have been big as yellowstone, but I don't see any volcanoes in the back ground !
