You found one of the two most colorful hotels in Palm Springs, the other being the Margaritaville Resort. It opened a few years ago and was the first Margaritaville Resort on the west coast, but what makes it unique is that it was not a new build. It uses the original "bones" and layout of the legendary Riviera Hotel, opened in 1959, that used to be frequented by entertainment A-listers, such as Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Desi Arnaz. But you don't go to Palm Springs to order food from Panda Express. Lol. There are so many good local eateries in the area. I live in L.A. but have been going to PS since I was a kid. There's something for everyone, from museums and theaters, to great shopping and dining -- and even sunning naked by the pool at a number of clothing optional resorts. Palm Springs is a great getaway. Travel safely!
