It's a common pun :) cauliflower is kalafior and there was once (probably some 10 years ago) an extremely viral meme with a picture of a Polish neighbourhood full of blocks of flats with a caption KALAFIORNIA, it was during an Easter season when lots of households would be cooking... Guess what. So even the outdoors smelled with it lol pretty sure that if you google Kalafiornia in google images you will see the meme (unless it won't come up cause google localises search results), but to fully get it you need that cultural context where the pun came from lol

I'm curious too, now I want to check out some 80's Polish music.

My first thoughts are Perfekt (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perfect_(Polish_band)), Budka Suflera (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Budka_Suflera) and Manam (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maanam).

Maromaro's style is a sort of an amalgam of different polish bands from 60's till 90's. Because we didn't have good source of nice distorted amps, most players resorted to good cleans. Amps were often modified or even made by Polish craftsmen, same with effects and guitars. The result is that specific bold clean sound with some effects, usually chorus. As such, MaroMaro is paying homage to that style. When it comes to bands (they mostly play in Polish language, as there was no way of expanding worldwide) for starters I would suggest: Perfect, Lady Pank and Budka Suflera. These bands have lots of phenomenal songs, expecially Budka - if they were not from Soviet governet country, they would have been titans of prog rock. The songs I would start with would be: Perfect - Nie płacz, Ewka (ang. Don't you cry, Eve), Lady Pank - Marchewkowe Pole (ang. Carrot Field), Budka Suflera - Jest taki samotny dom (ang. There is a lonely house). Listen for yourself and enjoy.
