Okay since I've seen this comment pop up A LOT in previous videos - That girl ISN'T Moon :'D And no, she isn't May either and her Dad isn't Norman! Her name is El and she's just an OC! Yes, she pretty much embodies the protagonist of the games, but it's a bit like how there are countless of OC Protagonists for Nuzlocke comics! :D She's a 20 years old trainer from Kalos and Alola is the third region she has been visiting. I just thought I should clear this up since a lot of people who haven't read the comics seem to be very confused xD But I'm SUPER glad so many people seem to enjoy this comic arc and it's amazing to see it come to life like this! :D

@@pokemonsonicgirl123 Hau just turned 13 and Lillie is 12! Their birthdays are not too far apart. And Guzma is 23. The rival age of all the kids either being 10 or 11 always seemed rather ridiculous to me so I aged them up a bit :'D Gladion I'd imagine being 16.

Can't relate. My mom was a professional hair stylist and even worked at an eye glass store, my dad was a professional phantom in that I never once saw him up close outside of the age of 3 and younger. And here I am, just sitting on my ass at home wanting a job, *any* job, SO THAT I CAN GET A GOD DAMNED LIFE

Using the frames of Pokémon to illustrate relationships is such a clever way of breaking up the story to make it more interesting when characters are just sitting and talking for an extended period of time. I love it

Holy moly, I needed to hear what this comic had to say about supportive parents not really knowing you. I feel that . . . a lot, and because no one talked about it, I always felt like I was just being a baby about everything and that I needed to get over it. Don't get me wrong, I don't wanna wallow in my own sorrows, but I needed someone to understand that I'm not just crazy or pampered so much that I think everything but perfect encouragement is bad. That's not what I think, more like, I needed people In my life who understand who I am, rather than people who just spout happy go lucky life advice at me, while also saying that above all else, my schooling is more important and that I should cut everyone out of my life if i cant focus.

Abuse comes in many forms. The best we can do is imagine each other kindly, generously, and complexly, especially the people we're responsible for. Giving people chances isn't a dumb thing to do, it's incredibly kind, but also you gotta look out for your own mental health and safety. I'm glad this comic series is helping people, you seem to have had the same reaction to it as me ^.^

...My father is a gas-lighting asshole and my mother is a closed-minded religious dullard who would sooner do the finger wagging B.S. than listen to any constructive counter arguments. And while neither of them where abusive in any intentional way, I sometimes wish they never bothered to have kids. So, uh... yeah. You could say that understanding is about at the bottom of the list while their respective egos are at the top.

Weirdly enough, I never used Exeggutors, even though I love psychic and grass types, so it seems like a shoe-in. It's pretty slow, and I never really liked Trick Room strats, though, and Ferrothorn always felt a lot better to me :D

With meditation which they were talking about there really is little effort that goes into that. For meditation you have to let go of distractions, trying to hard will actually mess you up because you distract yourself in the process.

I haven't been able to communicate with him for a few years now, because everytime I go see him, it's all about him and his achievements in life, and I just don't matter anymore. God this is so relatable to everyone who's being pressured mainly by their parents to go to college even if their parents themselves did not go to college and the strange thing is I have plenty of friends and family mostly family even my stepfather who I don't always listen to because his views are awful but he has a master's degree and other people have some sort of Bachelors and they all told me that you need to take your time don't rush things and if you're going to college make sure you know what you want to do mostly to save on time and money and that there's other options but I can't really find any other options on what I want to do and anything alternative or equivalent has been retcon to mimic traditional higher education and universities that makes it cost more and slows down the process with unneeded study and or courses that has nothing to do with the field of study sorry for the rant and the wall of text

So it’s not just me? It’s a shame Guzma isn’t the same age, cause it would’ve made more of a poignant story in the game, two people with different home lives albeit sort of similar circumstances. (Not the abuse thing) I still stand by my statement in the second video, I bet if his dad wasn’t a psycho, and disciplined Guzma like a NORMAL parent and the mother reigning his ass in so he wouldn’t traumatize Guzma, Guzma would’ve been a better rival than Hau, have Guzma be somewhat confident when battling but get sort of self conscious about it when he lost but have the player (you) make sure he gets pulled out of his somber mood afterwords

Yeah, my parents don’t understand why my drawings went from alien flowers and chubby bunnies to balls of pulsating meat with metal limbs and blobs with masks and half absorbed creatures in a mirror. Plus mom doesn’t understand why I like to roleplay. It’s basically the way I get rid of the urge to emotionally manipulate those around me. I roleplay and manipulate others into virtually cuddling me.

This comic shows that, not all kids in the Pokemon world wanted to be trainers or they are just not ready to become ones because heck the Pokemon world is kinda scary.

Yeah we are doing a dnd about pokemon, and we have one guy nearly get mentally possessed by a pokemon, a guy got killed by a pokemon, our yamask still remembers his death and we went near where he died. There was a special onix that had corpses on spikes it had. And right now the team we are fighting is messing with genetics on a very scary level.... but even the pokemon we have are dangerous. Lol my beedrill we met while it was trying to kill a teammate for kicking it like a football as a kakuna and it teamed up with a vespiquen that was after one our team that tried to kill one of her combee.
