You know what's actually insanely disturbingly beautiful? This year has been the worst on my mental health. The first week of January my mom passed away, I was the one to find her dead. I never knew I could feel so alone in the world ever in my life. I'm also a recovering alcoholic (6 months sober in 2 days), so learning how to feel again has been wild and my depression and anxiety are the worst they've EVER been... i'm looking into getting help, and I just wanted to thank you. Your music has really helped me, especially this year, to just escape my head for a while and know someone else can relate to this crazy dark shit that can go on in your head. I'm so glad I saw you at the last Mod Sun concert I went to, I can't believe I never listened to you sooner!

I remember being 12 years old and somehow different than the other kids and then I listened to Linkin Park for the very first time, was fascinated by the feeling the music transported and started translating the lyrics online because I didn’t understand English back then (I’m from Germany). And then, also for the very first time, I felt like someone out there truly gets my inside and sings about it, for the first time I didn’t feel different but understood and I didn’t feel the need to act and fit in like I had to when being surrounded by people. That’s been 17 years ago. I just really hope this dude knows that he’s my Chester from back then to today’s young and struggling generation. I really hope he knows.

I feel this to the core. Chester was how I knew I wasn't alone or wrong for feeling the ways that I do. I hope someone is there to pick up where he left off. I needed something like this music to enter my world and it made a lot of difference for me as a kid.

I know life goes on and there has to be a solution at some point... but ever since Chester took his life I feel like he took a huge part of comfort from me with him as well. As you said, I felt comfort because their lyrics made me realize I’m not wrong just because I feel the way I do. I’m just different. I don’t know, I’d feel like betraying him if I was able to enjoy LP without him... even though I rationally know it’s bullshit. Anyway, I think Karizma is his own person, I don’t mean to compare him like that but I really think he has the power to pick up desperate, broken people with his words, he’s SO good at it. And I‘m okay with enjoying someone different who gives me and tons of others the same feeling... god, do I even make sense at all? 😅

Ever since my mum passed away 6 months ago, I felt like I had nothing left to live for. I would wake up and feel dread that I had to get up and continue. I felt pretty suicidal at times. You were suggested to me by KZfaq....I'm a big NF fan...I have struggled with pretty severe mental illnesses. I've always gone to music for comfort because my family ignored me. I still to this day go to music to soothe my pain. Your music is so cathartic for me...I cry on a lot of your songs...but I feel like it's part of the healing process.
