About This Game
War rages on in the fourth edition of Activision's acclaimed war game. For the first time in the series, Call of Duty moves away from WWII to the modern battlefield. Armed with an arsenal of advanced and powerful modern day firepower, players are transported to treacherous hotspots around the globe to take on a rogue enemy group threatening the world. As both a U.S Marine and British S.A.S. soldier fighting through an unfolding story full of twists and turns, players use sophisticated technology, superior firepower and coordinated land and air strikes on a battlefield where speed, accuracy and communication are essential to victory. I'm 28 and I was 13 when this came out. Still remember playing the campaign over and over waiting for the next game. I still remember being excited to get off school so I could play online with my closest friends. Wow. The nostalgia is insane. I've had goosebumps for almost the whole thing.

God. I just love the news report at the end. The game just tells you that no one else on the world knows of the sacrifices and efforts you have made, the crisis that had just been averted, and that the people you worked with have covered it up, but in spite of that, you can't help but just feel a feeling of acceptance, like it is what has to be done, and that you signed up to fight and die in the dark anyway.

Finished this game 3 days ago, it's very short but what you said is accurate, it's just so fun and the experience is amazing. I'm even thinking about playing the other COD games now to go up with the lore, the soap guy we control seems very cool.

Although when I get a hard drive for my Xbox I will be able to donwload games online and get the others. I only plan on playing the modern warfare and black ops tho, not sure about the others, good playthrough for you, hope it's enjoyable as this one!

@@japhinebarsalote4081 Then what about the last mission in Azerbaijan, where the Marines chopper couldn't land on the farm because of the SAM sites that will take down any nearby aircraft? I doubt SAM Sites or AA defenses in general would exist if they wouldn't get the job done.

ahh when i was a kid this was so aweseome. imagine playing cod 3 and having no idea a 4 came out. out of nowhere ur dad brings home cod 4 and u see the game for the first time. the upgrade was just mindblowing back then, it was insane how good it was. its no wonder cod became the biggest shooter game

Memories of not being able to beat the first mission as a child. Around 11:15 when you have to escape the sinking ship, I just remember dying because I was running too slow or something and didn't understand what I was doing wrong

Honestly recently I have been feeling incredibly nostalgic. Looking back at the good old days of the Xbox 360 era with all of the great call of duty games such as, WaW, BO1, BO2, MW2 and this aswell as a great deal of other games. In particularly though the Call of duty games have a special place in my heart, never would I have ever thought I’d deeply miss playing these games, I always thought it sounded sad or nerdy to say playing video games was a massive part of someone’s childhood, I now realise that I must be the biggest nerd because I truly look back with so much fondness and genuinely really miss the fun I had playing these games. I actually would say some of my most enjoyable days growing up was playing these games, am 25 now and haven’t really played any video games seriously since the Xbox 360 era boy will I miss it. 😢

That intro after the cargo ship mission is still one of the best intros to a video game I've ever seen. I don't even really have an awful lot of nostalgia for this game, I played it a bit but mostly joined in on the CoD hype with MW2 but man I just love the tone of this game. Not trying too hard to be cool or flashy like a lot of the modern CoDs. What a game. And to think we got this the same year as Halo 3... insane year.

I remember when I was 6 years old and now im 19, my uncle brought me this game, then I tried to play it for the first time, and I loved it a lot. I kept playing non-stop, and finished it when I was six years old and this game made me love and admire games , i really appreciate all the old times and appreciate my uncle for this memories

I used to play this game back on the xbox 😢 Im glad they made a remastered version on the ps4 i just finished the game less then 24 hours it was that easy.

17:25 This moment for my was so shocking, I think it's very underrated because of how brutal it was at the time for my self so many years ago, the music and sequences just made me goosebumps and cry, I was 7 years old when I first played it.

still today i feel v.nostalgic......also i feel v..weird....beocz one day, back then when i was in 5th standard my dad suddenly call me out of my room and asked me that "son which game do you want to buy ? " and i was like what the hell happend to dad ?!! he was never like that before,also i've neither got nice grades in exams nor it was my birthday (*well most of the parents will never gift a game for their child*) but still he continues to ask me and let me choose myself (from inside i was like : ok!!!😈).....then i choose this game .....and to be honest this was my first that i've ever complete all the missions by myself....i mean i've played other popular games too like igi, vice city and san andreas etc..but at that time i don't use to have a pc so i use to play in my besties house....man i miss those golden era!!!!! but that incident was really out of my brain!!!! i apologise for my bad English.

Even in 2021 this Game & Graphics still look Great! i don't care what the new ages said's This was back in call of duty was Great until after 2012 the cod games from 2013-2020 got mix Reactions PS: Cod Games from 2003-2012 was Great & Amazing! Cod Games from 2013-present was Good & Okay!

7 years ago (i think) i played this game on the Wii, shit i was 7 or 8, and than, on the Xbox one i bought the remastered at 13 or 12 yo i think. So many feels and nostalgia
