Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare takes place in a plausible future in which technological progress and today’s military practices have converged with powerful consequences.
In 2054, a terrorist organization known as the KVA initiates the first global terrorist attack in history by simultaneously destroying the nuclear reactors of developed countries around the globe, including the United States. Across five continents, many developed countries' infrastructures were devastated and the military is incapable of fighting the threat posed by the KVA. As the result, Private Military Corporations (PMCs) have become the dominant armed forces for many countries. Jack Mitchell (Troy Baker), a former U.S. Marine who lost his left arm during a battle in Seoul, joins the Atlas Corporation, the world's most powerful Private Military Corporation with the most advanced technologies on the planet which profitted deeply from the nuclear attacks by hades. Executing clandestine operations across the globe for the highest bidder, Jonathan Irons (Kevin Spacey), the CEO and founder of Atlas, begins his war over the ineffectiveness of the United States as the promoter of democracy all over the world to change the global balance of power.

Thats pretty accurate. I love this campaign next to ghost. Black ops series was ok. Modern Warfare was good as well. Infinite Warfare was just all over the place.

Even in 2019 the cutscenes still look ahead of the time. Sledgehammer did a wonderful job with this one. Sad that WW2 wasn’t as good a story

Dogma427 BO3 campeign felt like a giant middle finger. Considering that none of it reallt happened to the player :) But Infinite Warfare singleplayer looks fairly decent, and MW remastered will be amazing :D

+Hunter Jarrett The campaign of Black Ops 3 was in my opinion one of the best of all call of dutys. Because its not the usuall bla bla. The story was strong, the plot even stronger. I can understand that people dont like the story of bo3, and y, besides the gameplay the story of aw was interesting too, but the screenwriter award truly belongs to treyarch.

glorytheman Well, I just didn't like that all you do is play through someone's memories and not experience your own thing. Like, you customize the character, but none of that really matters. It really pissed me off that they couldn't connect it to the previous BO games besides mentioning Mendoza and Nova 6 once. Other than that, it was like getting slapped in the face by a giant dick. To me, as a straight man, that's not very appealing. Like at all.

You'd think in the future, they would figure out a more effective way of deploying troops than dropping them out of planes into heavily fortified and defended positions.

Think about it this way they are under siefe by tanks right, well if you drop your troops into the middle of their defenses, the tanks won't be getting blowed up and therefore they are able to crush them

voodazz Ideally, the best chance to deploy your troops in a futuristic setting is, stereotypically, to drop them in at terminal velocity, decelerating at the last few seconds. The only other way you're going to be able to deploy a large number of troops in a timely fashion, while avoiding slugging through miles of enemy fire, is teleportation.

The story for this game was amazing. Loved every scene and mission. Multiplayer I loved as well despite people bashing on it. Too bad no more cod's like this will ever come out with a decent story mode.

Yea, that doesn't contradict the entire concept of the exo suit at all... Ignoring the fact early in the game, during the Atlas facility tour, how the player and Gideon watched 3 normal soldiers fighting against a single soldier with an exo suit and Gideon himself commenting "They don't have a chance."

Reaper of Pandas Still doesn't explain how Mitchel could get stuck between a car and a wall and not be able to push the vehicle back even a little using the exo suit's strength during the final confrontation with Hades. Of course how Mitchel didn't get his internal organs turned to paste in that moment given how the exo suit is a basic frame and not armor is another matter...

A Good Call of Duty Campaign makes you feel immersed in the story, while playing like an excelled FPS. A Masterpiece does all that, but makes you replay it another 2 times.... This is one of those Campaigns...

I feel that the characters were well developed and I give the creators of this game credit where credit is due. Kids now a days take video games for granted. We never had games like this growing up. The graphics look so real it's incredible.

now ladies and gents...time for CoD to return to WW2...just imagine how it would look with stuff like this? imagine returning to D-Day with the intensity it should of had, going back to Bastogne in a proper Sherman-Panzer firefight, returning to the skies in the B-24 Lib. once more, taking Berlin, tearing through Muscovy!...i just hope if they do that they don't over-exaggerate the storyline and make it shit, and instead focus on the story-writing and history behind it once more...also maybe add in multiple split campaigns/ player-protagonist characters like in CoD 3 instead of a single one, in these campaigns you go from playing as a British Paratrooper, to a German Sapper, to a U.S. Sniper, to French/ Polish Resistance, to a Canadian Tank Op., to Russian Bomber Gunner, taking part in damn near every battle of the war...so many possibilities to make a massive extravagant game that is true to it's roots...would be something great to play as one of the soldiers raising the flag at Iwo Jima, or one of Hitler's Bodyguard on his final days...the nostalgia would be real

Hassan Henry yes, 5+ to be counting WaW and WaW: FF, but they are older games now...and also by how it seems they've overused the modern, future-modern and future styles too much and it's becoming stale in general...going back to original roots and doing a WWII game would be a great refresher and an instant nostalgia hit for those who played the older games

Hassan Henry their stories are less focused on the writing (history did it for them) but instead based around what you and your squad did during those battles and operations as well as your struggles through them...the writing there is vastly different to that of this where back then you were "just a soldier" and remained that way and here your more or less a "one-man-war-machine"...highly recommended you check them out

This was made by Sledgehammer Games, their first full contribution to the series. Black Ops 3 was Treyarch's work, and Infinite Warfare was done by Infinity Ward. Neither were able to match the Newbie when it came to graphics, though to be fair, there is a jarring difference between cutscene graphics and gameplay graphics on Advanced Warfare, something which wasn't the case on Black Ops 3. It figures that Call of Duty (2017) will once again be made by Sledgehammer Games, and as such it's possible that the cutscene graphics will once again be up to this standard.

The cutscenes looked more fluid, smoother and better graphically in this game than the cutscenes in mw 2019, but the in game gameplay graphics and mechanic of mw 2019 were the best of all the cods so far, both of them miles better than cold war

they looked better bc they're actually rendered cutscenes, that's why they'd take forever to load on ps3 and 360. what mw19 had was basically just a video file playing as the cutscene, with some post processing done. I never understood why they did that bc it's really noticably worse without the 4k cinematic pack

Ey COD is solid as COD goes. There hasn't been a single COD campaign I haven't enjoyed immensely, MW tops the charts but this is extraordinary by itself as well - a look into the future of exoskeleton / futuristic warfare. Amazing stuff!
