I think the biggest plot twist was that Mason actually killed JFK as Dragovich implied. Also fun fact: rusalka means mermaid in russian.

Big twist because I had an affinity with Dallas and JFK as a kid since I’d always go there to meet with my Dad. Another big plot twist was (of course) that Reznov has been (supposedly) dead and just has been in Mason’s head. (Also how tf did Reznov pull off hijacking Mason’s brainwashing. I can’t even be mad at him but still).

Well, there are a few inaccuracies. The cannon ending of BO2 doesn't have mason living and also he got quite a bit of the BO3 story wrong.

I loved WaW story. It really showed the fears of war and didnt care what you thought. I replayed that game multiple times mainly the story because of how much I loved it. As well as zombies. And it absolutely pained me that Dimitri died. I know it's a video game but it hurt.

The campaigns that I have played and love are BO1 BO2 and advanced warfare, I do genuinely like the story of the first two games even though I only really remember bits and pieces as I played COD before I learned how to read, which my dad (who is the reason why this happened) sometimes says that he regrets that lmao

Even Treyarch were upset. Some of BO4s story doesn’t make sense like how is Mendez brought back if he’s still alive? It’s only 20 years after Bo2 he’d be in his 80s by that point. Imo CW should’ve been a soft reboot and have BO3/4s story discarded

BO3's story makes alot more sense if you read the prequel comic, as you then see that most of BO3s campaign is the same as the comic, which goes to tip you off that the entire things isnt real. Like, the first mission, the second and the final are really the only actual missions, everything else is basically a simulation created by Corvus. And you were basically playing as Stone the whole time. Still a mindfuck, but slightly less fucky.

So I read mostly everything until I KZfaqd it thanks so much man you wouldn’t believe how long it took me so many dumb sources told me to play cod ww2 instead of the First World War which doesn’t make sense to me at all
