@@SCKI789 Due to financial struggles. Lots of investors are supposedly trying to pull out of most eSports due to the economy and low return on investment. Would hopefully not be the worst thing in the world though, the league would likely continue through the old CWL or MLG format and possibly without as much Activision micromanagement as well (more locations for majors, teams throwing more than 1 major a year, community hosted tourneys, more player opportunities due to smaller buy in, etc.)

@@SCKI789 Many reasons. I recommend watching Optic Gaming podcast or Zoomaa's podcast The Flank for example. Some of the reasons include (but not limited to): 1. not enough cdl season content like majors (we went from 5 last year to 4). 2. lack of support for upcoming players/challengers who want a shot against the current teams. 3. very restrictive over team merchandise. you cant honestly say that that the cdl team merch even in game like camos/skins look good. but teams dont have control over it. 4. The cdl meta itself. its essentially 2 gun dominant (tac-56 and vasnev) throughout the ENTIRE ranked play season, and after season 2's addition of Himmelmatt Expo for control (removing Al Bagra Fortress control), NO NEW MAPS WERE ADDED. Look, i get it. You want to optimize for the best competitive settings, thats not my issue. But it is coming too much at the expense of variety and excitement. At the end of the day, viewership is what pays the bills and regardless of the game, viewers do NOT want to be bored. these are just some things off the top of my head. a call of duty "league" type of format can have a lot of potential, but it has to be done correctly and be built towards what actual cod fans want to see. if they cant do that then they need to be replaced.

That new kid Envoy is a force on the map. If he doesn't win the 1v1 vs SIMP i don't think they win champs. Faze was catching momentum. Great pick up. Good luck next year.

They beat Faze with Hicksy. They can do the same with Envoy. That isn’t their problem. Their problem was consistency and not being able to win the more important maps.

Im an OpTic fan but Ultra will be scary. I have them getting 2nd m1, 3rd m2, 1st m3, 2nd m4, and 3rd at champs. Not cause I'm a hater but I want OpTic to win champs. But overall this team is scary and has everyone's respect. So won't be surprised if they had a cold war season as well and just fried everyone.

FaZe win m1, OpTic m2, Ultra m3, FaZe m4, OpTic champs. Again I'm not hating on them. I think they are absolutely scary and scrap has potential to get mvp

'how we built the best call of duty team ev-'. meanwhile, some gamers who are HKRs (the serious type of HKRs) out there/in here-who are currently now on any COD title right now-doing it nearly instantly more conveniently instead.
