It’s kind of crazy. My wife and friends don’t watch COD, so I don’t really have anybody to feel the depth of emotions about the retirement with! No matter how prominent Seth was in my life and in the life of millions, there’s still a majority of people who this won’t affect and it seems a little unfair! (For the sake of sounding petty!) Anywho, this was pretty sad. I hope the situation works itself out. All parties involved need to be honest and decide whether or not they’re committed.

Was not expecting the news that broke today to happen and overall, what should be taken away from Seth's career is that the man lived to be one of the most influential humans of all time on one industry of life. He has inspired so many people like myself throughout the last 10+ years going back to the early parts of his career in Black Ops 1. I am glad to see Dashy back on the roster and I think we are in good hands now hopefully. I am going to miss Seth. God man I love him. Most definitely on the Mt. Rushmore of gamer greats not just in the pro scene but in general.🙏👑

seth and optic as a whole are a huge reason i am who i am, and the reason im pursuing my dreams today. watching in AW and hearing all of their stories always made me feel like dreams are really achievable and you can take your own path in life. never forget telling my mom how nadeshot and scump made a living off of video games thinking i would do the same one day. without them i wouldnt be on track to do what i love for a living

I know I’m just one person but I love the style of the OpTic videos. Like hitch said it’s like the guys hanging out doing some fun adventurous activities. It’s like H3cz says everyone is a character and you get certain characters for certain videos that normally wouldn’t cross paths. Anxiety, at least for me, is weird because I feel like things that make “normal” people anxious, don’t affect me, but little stupid things do. Like I had an oral surgery in November to get a couple teeth pulled, first time under general anesthesia. I feel like tons of people are afraid of the dentist or would especially be anxious about medical procedures, but I was totally fine. But then I’m getting ready to go hang out with my literal best friend who I love and used to see every day for like 5 years, and I’m anxious. Like whyyyyy?

Think it’s important that Nick understands the true scale of an impact he is making by simply being honest about his emotions.. goes beyond jus the people listening to the pod. The anxiety felt from overthought of things like the universe existing is something I runt into often. Nick being open about this kind of stuff is nice.

This episode hit home tbh I've been dealing with terrible social anxiety and at times I felt that I would rather die than leave the house simply because I assumed when I left the house all eyes were on me and I was being judged. Unfortunately I'm still dealing with it but I'm working on it. Thank you maniac for making me feel better knowing there are others who deal with it aswell. Edit: Anyone dealing with anxiety or depression of any form get help because suicide or harming yourself is never the answer, you have people who love you, and people willing to help you.

As someone who suffers with a lot of mental health issues myself, I really do appreciate this podcast so much. But it really does scare me how much Nick talks about using alcohol to cope with his social anxiety, it’s an easy way to create and addiction / crutch

I love Nick bro. Ever since I was younger he has always been my fav. I have had my fair share of mental health battles since I was super young. My mom killed herself when I was a junior in highschool and my younger years I had to deal with her insanely abusive boyfriend and her alchohol. I'm on shit to this day but it's still a struggle from time to time. Anxiety is the worst thing. If I could get rid of it I would enjoy things so much more.

Nick, have you tried meditation? Regular meditation, specifically. I have anxiety as well, but felt like there was a stigma attached to meditation that prevented me from trying it. Have started trying to meditate for 20 minutes a day since then, and it has helped more than I would have ever guessed. Consistency is key though, for me at least - it's like working out
