Theo Rossi recently wrapped shooting Zach Snyder’s Netflix feature ARMY OF THE DEAD with Dave Bautista and the lead role in the independent feature DEAR ZOE directed by Gren Wells. Theo played the fan favorite role of ‘Shades’ for two seasons on the hit Marvel Netflix series LUKE CAGE opposite Mike Colter and Alfre Woodard. Theo can most recently be seen in the independent feature VAULT starring opposite Samira Wiley and Clive Standen. Previously, Theo was seen in the highly anticipated Imagine / Telemundo feature LOWRIDERS opposite Demian Birchir, in theaters May 2017. Theo grew a large fan base as one of the stars of the hit FX series SONS OF ANARCHY, where he starred opposite Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman as the series bad ass 'Juan Carlos Juice Ortiz'. SONS was the highest rated show on FX with over 10 million viewers a week with playback last season. In 2015, Theo also produced his first film with Emma Tillinger the independent feature BAD HURT which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival.

Totally agree with you about that scene where Kozik gets killed. Even though I love SOA so much, the fourth season is not my favorite. The whole cartel/Link Potter thing kinda gets on my nerves. But I have to praise you, Theo, for your beautiful acting in this season. You were amazing! I love Reaper Review so much! It's great fun to see you talk about the episodes, to listen to you talk about life in the intro. Glad you had this idea, especially during there troubled times - and I'm in Brazil, it's the worst place to be now. Love to see the guests too, it's a blast. Hope you can get Maggie, Charlie and Katie one day.

(I haven't gotten to the point where Kenny Johnson dials in) This is a cheap sight-gag callback to The Shield, where Kenny Johnson's character -- Lem -- is killed by grenade. That (Shield) scene is a heartbreaker; this SoA revisitation is some sort of tawdry in-joke which seems like it was meant to be black comedy, but instead comes off sorta tone-deaf. I caught the reference on first viewing, but I don't understand how or why Sutter wrote it like he did. Seemed like mailing it in, or mis-reading the room, or (possibly) settling some sort of personal grudge. (Just got to the Kenny J part. Looks like I was right.)

@@MrJoshemerton Having now listened to the call-in, it's clear Kenny + Sutter got into it, possibly stemming from do-my-show-fulltime-no-I-got-a-show-okay-then-screw-you tension. Kenny's a little bitter about the pay dispute.

What a great episode. Personally, I loved that it was a dog and that the dog was a German Shepherd. I loved it because it was a surprise and because it humanized the characters. I hate the way Kenny went off the show but I really loved that storyline between Kenny and Kim.

My late mother loved Kozik and was furious when he went out like that. I'll never forget it. Kenny seems like a great guy and he's a phenomenal actor and the way that all of that happened was messed up. I hope he knows that despite Kozik only being on the show for a bit, he was very memorable and made an impact on us viewers.

You can tell Theo is a great actor, because you feel how much it still impacts him - like he's back in the moment - on the scene with Chibbs and Juice. Such a great scene. Can't believe it's only one take.

Kenny Johnson was very nice when I met him in nickel City - all three of you were - but 6 of you were there and it was great to see your real life bonds. Saw Kim and Boone in Chicago a couple months ago and it was great. I’ve been to a whole two comic cons now but 6 of you in Nickel City - it was a very great experience for my first con. but great channel here - glad I came across it. I didn’t really ask Any questions I would think I’d have about the show - because you are all so cool as your real life selves- Glad you all Made great friends with each other due to the show. I guess ‘sons’ had a happy ending after all

Can we talk about that though cartel camp ambush though? Jax, Clay, Juice, Chibs, Kozik and Happy went. Of those, Clay was in the Army, Kozik was a Marine, and Chibs was in the royal army for a couple months. But Tig was a Marine and Bobby was in the Army and those two are off chatting with Georgie????? I understand Jax being there because it was 'his revenge' for Tara but why the hell wouldn't they send Juice and Happy/Chibs to handle Georgie with Opie and take the ONLY OTHER guys with Military experience (Tig and Bobby) with them on their Lobo hunt?????

Tara didn't just smash the vase she repeatedly slammed her wrist her hand her arm down onto that table about 5 or 6 times effectively undoing all the work the surgeons had done and potentially causing her more harm to her hand and more nerve damage

Juice was the one to say something about Kozik at the club house ( I believe) when they were addressing what all happened and he said " KOZIK IS DEAD !! " One of my favorite scenes of Tig and Kozik was when he played basketball with the kids in the neighborhood and the guns got stolen from Happy's aunt's house and the club chased them down and put the guys in the trunk and and speed raced to get them to talk and when Tig opened the trunk he threatened him with Kozik and said " when this guy gives me a bear hug he breaks my ribs ! So you better tell us where the guns are !!! " I loved the up and downs of Tig and Kozik throughout Kenny's time on the show . And it did suck when he got blown up and it wasn't addressed by anybody . Love all of you !

Theo's hair looks so good. It's the same shade as mine....lol... I really like his hair. It isn't easy to look just as good Blonde as you do with very dark hair....Not everyone can pull that off. Theo does it effortlessly.

Interesting trend being identified where Tara (Roosevelt) (Clay) were written into progressively-deeper concentric circles of bleak dark nihilistic pointlessness -- to the point where their story-threads no longer led to anywhere good, and the actor(s) started not to like the arc(s) anymore, and by the end they were sorta marking time until the really-bad end. (Roosevelt is a minor exception... I feel like his final make-nice bits with Juice + Potter were decent... but the same overall progression seems to apply.)

My wife hated Tara threw out the entire show lol, but in my opinion I loved how in season 1 she seemed full of life in a way and as the seasons go by she's seems as if she loses a bit of that life Everytime something happens until her final season that she seems dead inside caused by all the shit the club brang

I don’t quite understand the hate towards Tara… I really like her character & you are so right, with each season & the deeper she gets with her relationship with Jax, she slowly loses herself until nothing is left.. very sad what some of us will do for love & Tara did love Jax, as unhealthy as the relationship was..

@@trishg4324 my hatred for Tara is because she used Jax to her dirty work, volunteered to help the club, but when everything backfired against her, she decided to blame it all on Jax and club. She never took responsibility for her own part. Just everything from season 6 turned me off.

I do think her as a character felt she couldn't just leave cause if she did, how many people would have died without her??? How did any club member live B.T (Before Tara) lmao.

The movie Theo was filming at this time was Vendetta. One of the many 'Bruce Willis collecting a paycheck' movies that have come out in the past few years. It watched it after seeing this intro, and it's absolutely terrible. Theo is the only good thing in the movie. 17:35 Hahaha, I was thinking the _exact_ same thing when I was rewatching this episode. Every time that characters need to have a conversation in the hospital, they just so happen to be right next to the chapel. And, conveniently, the chapel is empty for them to do so. 26:26 The word is irredeemable. SoA was my first exposure to Kenny Johnson, but I was still bummed that they killed Kozik off. I later watched The Shield with my family, and then a time after that we began watching SoA (which was a rewatch for me). They were excited with KJ appeared on the show, because they had liked Lem on The Shield, and were even more so when he started to become a more established character. Then, when he died, they turned to me and were like "really?! They kill him off just like that?!" and I was like yep... it sucks. It's a shame to hear that it was basically due to Sutter being petty.

I don't know that I would call them repetitive moments as much as continuity not to mention the fact that if you had an argument or disagreement with somebody in the past about something it's liable to be brought back up again and they're going to reference it I don't think much was recycled honestly.

The joke with calling for pizzas is followed by something like “irish ones”. We had just seen the larger weapons from the irish. Maybe not the best line, but If y’all ever do any kind of rewatch again (i know you’re done now with SOA but if you do it for another form of media) maybe pause it before you start writing a comment to yourself and listen. now Theo can say “fuck it, it’s in the past”.

I'm sorry I have to disagree with the exception of maybe clay there were times that we felt for the others when the initial shit began to hit the fan but after they just continued to make wrong choice after wrong choice after wrong choice it kind of was hard to feel bad for them anymore but we did initially feel for them at the beginning

Lmao again your guys' takes are crazy. A club founded after the vietnam war by soldiers who fought there wouldnt know how to utilize heavier weaponry. Clay, Tig, Chips, and Happy most definitely do. Not to meantion the other guy's backgrounds. They are probably taught and trained as well by the more experienced club memebers. Not to meantion they move guns so they have access to peope who utilize and have trained with these firearms. If youre a true 1% not training in firearms you have something wrong with you as that is most likely their number 1 way to defend themselves. Just bc you acted as these guys doesnt mean you have any idea of their capabilities. Again my opinion. I love to debate and argue. Thanks for the reviews!

Steve and Nikki REACTS, the reaction channel is doing SONS. Watching your podcasts after their reactions. A lot fun! Like a compendium! You guys get just as in depth into the narrative, like a Lit or film class. Fun! Sutter and the writing staff really did this. Very few storytellers have pulled this off! I don’t find an error. And I assume as with all projects, internal issues happen. So to manage to pull off writing people out when needed, and etc., to have balanced it to still end up organic …. 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼👏🏼👏🏼
