Do you think mw3 is a $70 dlc?

It was $15 every dlc and $50 for a season pass. At max $120, at minimum $110. And EVERYTHING was new.

honestly the older games were both more fun and made with more passion than the newer ones so it was worth it imo

I’d rather pay 140 for games that are fun and made with love and creativity than the free dlc garbage and battle pass money grab. COD needs to find their identity

Campaign was mid. Ending felt like a mission that had another one after. I didnt know it was the end of the campaign until price said makarov will show his face eventually and they said goodbye to soap

Yes. We have battlepass etc. to literally have something. And let's not forget MW2 (2009) campagin was like, one of the best games in existence. Especially comparing to MWIII

They couldn’t even model Shepard after the original Shepard. Had to use Glenn morshower who was literally a whole other general altogether on MW2 on 360

That's the thing though because it was just remastered content which should have been given to us with MW2R in 2020 yes it is bad that game cost 20-30$ so this as a completion of that should be added as DLC for the missing 20-30 dollars of a 60$ title if not just free as an apology as well as just a thank service for 20 years.

To the people saying “we want old cod back” you are free to go play those and they’re cheaper so you don’t complain about the price.

So let me summarise; - Very cheap and short campaign -Iconic maps for multiplayer and no new OG maps -Open World Zombies mode. Altogether for $70, be called a premium game. Unless there is life support given to zombies and multiplayer, this gives me red flags that it might be a scam.

My boyfriend and I haven’t played cod in so many years, the last cod he played was the og mw2 and mine was black ops 2. So that big gap jumping into the new mw3 with the og maps was awesome and worth it to us. But i also understand why people aren’t happy with it

I don't think it's a 70$ DLC. I think it's improving a ton on mw2. The movement, gun control and more. Something you couldn't add as a DLC as it would completely change the game. Your point about the DLC price points in the past is very valid. If this was to drop as a DLC it would probably be 60$ anyways. Any less is stupid. The campaign is very enjoyable, just a bit annoying at higher difficulty levels. I played on veteran and had an issue with random grenades spawning on me. With no possible way a AI could throw that far unless they got a robot arm. I also wasn't to found of the Open Combat missions. It felt like that was made for lower difficulties with no consideration for higher difficulties. But with all my problems I had it took me about 5 hours to complete on veteran.

I look at it this way. In my country the vault editoon of MWIII was $170. If we have 6 seasons and i buy blackcell battle pass in 5 of them, thats can cost up to $250 on top depending on how i use my cod points

The missions feel like it's cut missions from mw 2019 spec ops.

The kicker is that the campaign was woefully crafted, multiplayer has no originality at launch (aside from the Ground War Reactor map), & zombies is just rehashed DMZ. It’s difficult to warrant the $70 with the in-game store to boot. Maybe their content planned to release this year cycle might be worthwhile, but I’m not holding out too much hope, especially when there is the rumored Advanced Warfare tie in at season 3, allegedly.

I believe it’s bad because at least with the og dlcs you still had a game you could play with your friends without actually having to pay for the dlcs, another thing is that the dlcs was never promoted as a new game with a filter and slight change in animations

This guy genuinely was hyped about MW3 being really good etc. and now when people have played early access campaign, he finally says what everyone else is thinking😂💀 We all knew it was basically a 3-hour long DLC to MW2 campaign with DMZ-style "open combat missions". And of course they want to charge 70 dollars for it to make it seem like full complete sequel to MW2. And some people even pre-ordered the 100 dollar Vault Edition of the game to get extra weapon skins and operators for the game. I bet everyone who pre-ordered already want their money back. Welp, too bad. 😂💀

I still prefer the old model. As even if you wanted the yearly cod as it was, you could still ignore the dlcs and still get new content with the next game. Not to mention, there was a "feel" with different games from the different studios. Now since it is just one engine, the games feel the exact same

Considering back in the day you got brand new maps with DLC and these are ALL remasters including the base game, yeah, it’s pretty bad.

High-rise and rust just gave me a smile. Would have paid for it at any rate to play my maps with my oldest daughter.

The campaign was awesome- SPOILERS BELOW. - until the end where we don’t even get to kill Makarov and take revenge for Soap. I do quickly wanna say the scene where they spread Soaps ashes was fucking heart gutting and beautiful. In conclusion: the campaign takes us back to where it started minus Soap, it was fucking amazing but they fucked it in the end.

It is when they are also making stupid amounts of money on battle passes and bundles on top of it. The old school DLCs were the only way they made post launch money back then.

To be fair, the only cods I ever used to buy season passes for where the ones with zombies. $15 for multiplayer maps I do the same thing on as the rest of the multiplayer maps that just look different never seemed worth it to me. But throw a new zombies experience in there and you have my money.

people used to pay 15-20 for 4 map packs so like 60-80$ and they released a game with all mw2 maps a campaign and a new game mode for 70 so in reality it’s probably about the right pricing and there’s also new guns

I think I'm going to skip this year's Cod just like I did last year and the year before. Vanguard was a collective nightmare for the zombies community and 90% of people are still in denial that it even happened. MW2 2022 is probably going to feel that way for multiplayer. This new one I'm not sure but I'm probably just going to wait until project Z releases at the end of 2024
