There’s a couple things I want to add that I didn’t really talk about in the video. First, I don’t think my “which game is better” scoring format works very well with Call of Duty Games, considering how subjective everything is. For example if you’re a zombies player or fan you’re obviously going to prefer Cold War to Vanguard, so I apologize that the scoring system doesn’t feel very accurate. Also I realize Vanguard is quite broken at the minute, as is every COD game these days on release, and lot of the issues that are being discovered came after I made this video, regardless I trust Sledgehammer will resolve many of these issues with updates, just like how they did with World War 2. I am sorry if I did upset anyone though for not talking about a lot of the glitches and broken weapons with Vanguard. It’s my first time doing this type of video for Call of Duty and I’ve learned quite a lot about where it could be improved.

Idk cold war is a much better game imo. Campaign and zombies make it way better. Mp is subjective but CW is better imo because it keeps the BO series small tighter style gunfights intact. Making more competitive style gameplay.

I went back to playing Cold war, I just love the classic stages.

For me, the main problem is that they need to make an opposing team for operators. Just like every previous call of duty. It can be confusing and frustrating when you have a team mate and an enemy that are the same operator…

One thing, Master... BO2 already had choices for the campaign so it's not really something new at all

One thing I’m reeeally gonna have to disagree with is the spawning, I’ve played a lot of Blitz and Assault lobbies and I spawn in front of enemies ALL the time. That doesn’t happen to me that often in Cold War. Other than that great video

I still prefer Cold War, but I’m enjoying Vanguard

I think people are just now realizing how much easier CW MP was. It was miles easier than Vanguard. The maps were also technically better because of the 3 lanes. But that also made them get boring and stale fast.

Not sure if I’m weird but I prefer the movement in Cold War. something I don’t think you mentioned (or I wasn’t paying enough attention) was that I like the removal of wildcards, as most would just pick perk greed anyway, I like that the majority of the build is focused on the weapon attachments.

Vangaurd mapping visibility sucks, difficult to pick up enemies, basically looking for Red dots. Cold War has much better visibility.

I personally would've done CoD: Vanguard vs. CoD: WWII first, as that's a comparison that makes sense. Both games were made by Sledgehammer and took place in World War 2, so it's only right to compare those two games.

Saying Vanguard is better than Cold War just based on multiplayer seems unfair imo when the latter clearly has better campaign & zombies modes. Then again I may be biased cuz I don’t play multiplayer a lot in general.

I’ve been playing COD since 2004 and Cold War isn’t the best, in fact it’s not even a great game, but it’s the best Call of Duty we’ve had since Black Ops 3 in terms of the multiplayer alone.

I am a brand new COD player and I enjoy Cold War much more than Vanguard.

Ghost did not originally work only when moving. In the first Black Ops game where it was introduced, it worked at all times to hide you on the map. Everyone's opinion is different. I personally find Vanguard to be an overplayed WW2 trope. The campaign of BOCW was much more entertaining and I liked its return to old school form in Multiplayer. I know a lot of reviewers and KZfaqrs thought it was a step backwards but to be quite honest, there are a LOT of COD fans who want that. For instance, there is a huge hype over this upcoming mod for MW2 that returns to the original COD formula but includes the best weapons from several generations of COD. Activision and their many developers have been all over the place with the directions they've been taking the series in. From terrible games like Advanced Warfare to rehashed WW2 stories, it has seemed like they really have no idea what the actual player base wants. I'm not saying BOCW is an amazing or perfect game by any means, but its campaign was quite enjoyable and it felt good to play a COD multiplayer that felt like it did in the old days. The original Black Ops, BO2 and MW3 will always be my favorites and if I could have remasters of those with new maps and guns added I would buy them over ANY of these newer COD games.

Maybe at the center of the screen, or maybe just at the beginning of the section just put “gunsmith” and fade it to gameplay. Also, when giving points, can you animate the numbers a little bit more? At the end of the day... the best cod is mostly subjective and anyone's opinion will make people say "he's right/ he's absolutely wrong..." I'm gonna leave it up to you but i will share 5 simple reasons why i prefer Cold War for the following reasons : - it's guns selections as they feel better imo - Most of the multiplayer maps are very well designed imo - i enjoy playing Cold War zombies way more than Vanguard for multiple reasons you probably know about. *👀 Content* - Cold War added features that aren't even a thing in Vanguard and if it was already there on older cod(s) at least it's still there on CW *Pause Feature for Zombies* 👀👀 - i love the 80s style and Cold War just matches that while i am tired of World War period that Vanguard takes on. which btw we have seen through cod World at War, WWII, even outside activision with BF1, BF5, more recently Enlisted... Spawning in Vanguard is completely chalked Hardcore in Vanguard is completely broken with impact nades Gunplay it depends on what you like as MW/WZ/VG keep that unnecessary realistic feeling while CW kept it the COD way Movement ehhh well you still have broken slide-cancel and well CW once again kept it COD traditional movement but it depends on what you want Weapon Balance, it is hard to tackle this own as VG is still relatively new and it has stayed with STG, MP40 and broken Shotguns since launch but that does not mean CW avoided broken shit Map Design, this one goes to CW- sure VG has 16 but the majority are complete dogwater and none of them stand out- only Das Haus

I no matter what will still play vanguard because I like zombies and it’s something kinda new with the play style they did but personally it would be better if you could have the new play style as a challenge mode instead would be better

I prefer Vanguard. People accuse it of being historically inaccurate, but that was the job of COD WW2. Vanguard is an exaggeration of WW2 more to the tone of “Inglorious Basterds” or “Sisu”. From this perspective, Vanguard is really enjoyable and not as historically bankrupt as people say it is.

A bit of context: Even though I played World at War, I’d consider myself a “new Gen player” since that was all I had until Warzone dropped. Didn’t buy MW tho because I didn’t have the money, and by the time I did, CW came out so I just got it since it was the new game. I eventually tried the Vanguard Beta and free weekend. I really enjoyed Cold War’s campaign. Yeah it was really short, but what little it offered was fantastic imo. I’ve replayed it like 4 times trying to do all the different choices. Multiplayer is pretty fun, I definitely enjoy the facelift the series got in 2019. Everything’s a lot smoother. Zombies is also good. What little I’ve played of Vanguard’s multiplayer was honestly some of the best-feeling CoD gunplay I’ve ever experienced. But I realize that’s just because it’s MW’s engine. I also enjoy being able to set how many players you face. However, everybody ranting about how terrible the game supposedly is has me not wanting to buy it except for at a discount. I honestly might just wait until this year’s CoD, which supposedly will be MW2.

I feel like, for me, its the ttk and guns. Vanguard is too random, too quick, and getting better is less important than getting attachments. Cold War can be frustrating but it at least tried to be a game that respects your aim and tactics.

BOCW: Great Campaign. Good multiplayer. Excellent zombies. More players. Likely lower price ($20 lowest). Vanguard: Bad campaign. Avg multiplayer. Bland zombies. Less players. Likely higher price ($30 lowest). Finally it's your choice. If you already have other new cods you might buy vanguard. Otherwise a hard no. BOCW will be definitely worth if you're into zombies.

I personally think vanguard is absolute garbage (its my opinion, sorry) because of the fact that they made it a ww2 game. If you want attachments, dont make it a ww2 game. You have to give the creativity to cold war though. Sure, vanguard launches someone across the map woth the godzilla finisher but cold war has things ranging from tactical takedowns to nut kicks and rc vehicles.

This is why I haven't bought a new COD since Black Ops 3. Vanguard came out only a year after, so there's no point in buying the "newest" COD games because they push new ones out every year
