I miss when war games made it about the mission and not the character.

People complained about this mission not allowing for co-op, but it was for a deliberate purpose. The atmosphere and immersion would have been broken if it would have two players.

Back when Call of Duty actually made meaningful and interesting games, and wasn’t just a pathetic, corporate money grab. It’s sad to see where the franchise has gone, it truly is.

CoD WaW is a masterpiece and you know why guys? Cause the game is set into the 2 most interesting theaters of WW2. The Eastern front, and the Pacific Theather and if you factcheck, both are the most horrible-cruel and deadly Fronts of WW2.

this track still gives me goosebumps, the soundtrack to this game is iconic, as well as portraying the pacific campaign, which almost all ww2 games involving americans focus about D-day and liberation of france. That was just a quarter of the war.

From the first time playing this mission the same week the game came out, to 2022 I still listen this exact soundtrack. It kinda sucks the golden days for cod are gone...

I love how when you're in the fountain, your POV shows how the sky is just filled with Luftwaffe bomber planes. Gives a good idea how determined to bomb Stalingrad into oblivion they were. I really wish the fountain looked like the real Stalingrad fountain, showing a group of children dancing around a crocodile.

In my opinion, the Cod Waw Stalingrad mission is better than Cod Vanguard's Stalingrad mission.

The opening of this scene is very chilling. The Wehrmacht Soldiers slaughtering the other dying Soviets fits well with the opening music.

Arguably one of the best missions in gaming history and especially in the cod franchise.

doing this mission on Veteran was painful but rewarding, i beat the campaign on Veteran all the way through today, and it challenged me as Bennett Foddy once said, "Feeling frustrated, it's underrated."

The opening to this mission, along with the music shows you that war is ugly and brutal, no matter who writes and tells the tale.

This game aged like fine premium expensive wine. And there is a reason for it: Now ww2 AAA shooters are full of shit: -Womans were not allowed into the battlefields -If you lost an arm, game over. There were no prothesis or similar shit back then. -War is crude, brutal and nobody won. -america is no hero, due to unleash two nuclear weapons on two cities full of civilians and following up the soviet-american cold war and vietnam war, and yet, those new age ww2 games show that america is the savior, russia and germany are the enemies. -theatrical hollywood storyline dosen't exsit in war: no one cares about you or if they do in war, they won't be close to you or die for you. Cod ww2 is the biggest example. -last but not least: if a ww2 game has a multyplayer mode,make it like it was in ww2: remove all of that assist shit, all those wierd gun equips, like red dots, in ww2... really? And guns should be brutal in executing your enemy: in COD WW2 if you shoot a guy with an mg42 in the legs, he takes damage and if he dies, he falls on the ground; In COD WAW if you shoot a guy with an mg42 in the legs, they get torn apart,like irl. All of this mixed up makes for a joke of a game and nit a game that shows the real horrors of War

Thinking back on it now, i played this game when i was too young, i remembered crying and thinking, why aren't they helping them and all these years later i know why and that hurts even worse

I remember playing this with my dad for the first time. We always switched who had the controller after every mission. That was until we figured out it had coop and it changed the game.
