In this video, I will review the new Callaway Paradym A.I. Smoke drivers, which claim to be the fastest and most advanced drivers in Callaway history. Callaway have used artificial intelligence to design the new driver face, called the AI Smart Face, which creates a series of sweet spots all over the face for more distance and forgiveness. The AI Smoke driver also comes in four different head options, each with a different shape, weight and performance.
I will also give you my honest opinion on the looks and feel of the AI Smoke driver, which features a black carbon crown and a smoke effect on the sole. Great review Mark! I'd love to see the comparison testing between previous Callaway drivers, I wouldn't expect much difference between the Paradym from last year but I wonder how much difference there is to my driver Callaway Epic Sub Zero which is only 4 years old

Looks good. As a paradym user since early 23 it’s the straighter driver for me. Not the longest for sure vs TSR but straighter. Be interesting to try the smoke.

All this tech, the best face ever, One of the most forgiving ever, their highest MOI ever. AND YET the ball speeds are absolutely in line with every other current driver around. I think i'll keep my credit card safely tucked away.

You should try the triple diamond with the heavy weight in the back. That’s my set up. Slightly more spin. And great solution if you prefer the look of the diamond

Hey Mark. Did you think of doing a few shots (off camera) of your usual driver to see if you were just having a "fast" day and if that also showed up as higer than "usual" ball speeds?

The "smoke" finish on the bottom might help camouflage all the marks I leave on the bottom from painted wooden tees. 😏

I'm glad they took out jailbreak I knew it was messing with the feel for my rogue st max But then I gamed a 2015 Callaway big bertha and it genuinely felt smoother of face

Bracing the sole and crown together tunes the head to a higher resonant frequency, which means that the vibrational wavelength is shorter. This translates to less feel and a duller more muted feedback.

Mark, what was your average CLUB HEAD speed for these? Reverse engineering it, assuming a 1.5 smash factor: 165 mph ball speed / 1.5 smash = 110 mph club head. Do I have that fairly close to your club head speed? Thanks!

Hi from Australia, I did see these drivers today at my pro shop, the only good thing that I could say about them was. They sat beautifully, for God sake we know they have a carbon crown, but I don't like looking at gloss carbon crown. To look down at them, it's too busy. Its not classy. I've always gamed Callaway drivers, but this one won't get in my bag

I picked this up yesterday. After just 15 range balls the shaft came loose from the head. Callaway did not include a wrench so my disappointment is up as are my expectations once I tighten it up. If this is a r.epeating occurance, back it goes

Another great review - on the price point rumours abounded backend of last year was that the big boy manufacturers were conscious golf equipment was getting too pricey and they were going to react to see lower pricing - looks like that was just a rumour although some of the other big players might follow through. But I won't be holding my breath. That said it does come out as a good product.

😂love it rich retired folks, yeh You got that right it gives them an expensive reason to get up in the morning. They go to the golf course and tell all thier fellow retired golf professional friends, that they had it fitted for them. Then t hey stand there on the first tee in baited breath and hit it the exactly the same distance as the last driver, 160 yards. I shouldn't be so cynical, I'm 65, and heading the same direction as them, not nice getting old

@mark crossfield. AI does all the hard engineering work in nanoseconds, which usually was completed by competent physical human-beings taking days, weeks, months to perfect. AI now doing the work, yet price for equipment development remains the same / increases in some cases 🤣🤑 public hoodwinked again

Forged carbon is...forged carbon, you can't change the aesthetic dramatically and to someone with at least a couple of brain cells seeing the engineering aesthetic adds credibility to the effort of the Callaway engineers that produce these products. its frazzles me how you can be so cock certain about something you know nothing about, really hitting the first peak of the Dunning-Kruger curve, aren't ya?!

Yet another overpriced hyped golf club that will make absolutely no difference whatsoever to the average golfer, apart from remove an outrageous amount of money from their bank account! Absolutely laughable. Just get lessons and improve your skills, it’s a lot cheaper🤔

Some of the drivers do have different impact; I found the ball speed of the Qi10 MAX to be really good. Ending up replacing my R9 with it. Overall though I totally agree. Some subtle improvements here and there but not new driver every year needed lol check out my Ai Smoke MAX review :)

Mark I will never buy one of these stupidly expensive drivers. I play off scratch. I paid $10 AUD for my used PGF V8 beta titanium 450cc driver on a regular flex cheap arse graphite shaft 14yrs ago. It hit draws, fades, straights, high ones and low ones because I practice and takes lessons. It drives 250m (273yrds) on the full all day long. Sometimes 270m (295yrds) on the full. No one makes fun of me for owning it either. Many of the members at my club including the young blokes love to have a turn and they laugh when it hits just as far and sounds just as good as their very expensive models. I guess I need others to keep buying the expensive stuff so I can get a bargain whenever I feel like it.
