Hello crafty friends! Today I am back to show you how I made my first set of cards using the January 2023 SheetLoad of Cards! This month’s printable shows you how to create EIGHT (8) Mini Slimline cards using just TWO (2) pieces of 12x12 paper! I hope you will watch the video and get some tips along the way. :)

Love this sketch! This is a fun, fresh card. One question, where do I find envelopes to fit this size card? I'm new to slimline cards.

Great question, Connie and Welcome to Membership!! For my mini slimline cards I size them so they will fit in a standard #6 envelope. This is a size you can find almost anywhere (walmart, dollar tree, office max, etc.) - it is the smaller of the 'business sized envelopes' they sell in boxes. I get mine at Dollar Tree, here is a link (non-affil.) www.dollartree.com/mead-no-675-white-envelopes-40ct/192699 They are nothing fancy, but get the job done in getting the cards to their final destination. ;) If you are looking for colorful or better quality ones, I think some stamping companies sell them as well. My Dollar tree has them and my Wal Mart has them. Watch out, some have an ugly (security) lining as these used to be called check envelopes.

Loved theses have just made lots with grandchildren they really loved the little envelopes, they put little notes in them . .Watching with kids and they love how you say SeDements, for the word SenTiment ,I had to replay so many times as they now are saying it the same way..thank you for sharing your card making.

Really cute. Just a note. If your in a rush then try some sparkly nail polish instead of stickles. No waiting overnight for it to dry.

Thank you for your process, my mind is not wired to how to figure out the best way to cut the Cardstock. I do enjoy the visual archive as a channel member. I have a mini envelope die I can use. There is a way to cut the envelopes free hand too. Love these super cute cards.

they sure are - but keep in mind the same 'rigidity' and 'lumpy' rules will apply and may cost more. they fit in standard #6 3/4 envelopes you can find almost anywhere (walmart, office max, dollar tree). the envelopes may not be fancy, but they get the job done ;) Here are the ones I buy at dollar tree www.dollartree.com/mead-no-675-white-envelopes-40ct/192699 I hope you will give this size a try :) Thanks for watching!

Do you know how many times I've messed up scoring and folding my mini slimline card bases? Let's just say I ran out of fingers AND toes to count. Thanks for that simple tip on scoring using the score buddy! It most certainly will help! I just love those cute little envelopes! 😍

You probably explained it before but what's the difference between a mini slimline and the slimline? Love your cards and I'm glad I'm back, Nicole - PS I have that paper pad too! Both in 12x12 and 6x6. I usually use it for my husband...

A great paper pad to use for your husband - I wish I would have gotten it in 6x6 too. :) Slimline seems to be a standard 3.5" x 8.5" when folded and there seems to be LOTS of different preferences for Mini Slimlines. I like to make mine 3.25" x 6.25" when folded so they will fit in the standard #6 3/4 envelopes that are widely available. Hope that helps!

As long as it meets weight and thickness rules, these mail for a first-class stamp within the U.S. I just get cheap business envelopes from Dollar Tree: www.dollartree.com/jot-standard-press-and-seal-mailing-envelopes-362-x-650-in-40-ct/375769 (non-affil.) It is a size you can find in many stores. Hope that helps.

Can you use the regular size punch board to make the mini envelopes? Also, what size did you use for the inside patterned strips? Thank you!

Karen, I say give the envelopes a try with the regular one. I think the biggest difference will be the size of the notch that gets punched before scoring. I have had quite a few people ask about this, so I may try to make a quick video showing both ways. The strips inside are about 1/2" wide and 4.25 & 5" tall. I am having trouble finding the description box this month. Don’t know what I’m doing wrong but could you help?

KZfaq decided to make some layout changes and it made getting to the description box a bit less easy :( Are you watching on mobile? If so, I have found clicking on the video title, usually makes it a bit easier to pull up. Then when you see a bit of the description box text, you can click on that to expand. Hope that helps.

Hi Crafty Al - Hopefully you will see this and be able to answer my question. I am subscribed to your channel, but when I click on the #SLCTJan2023 sheet load of cards, it does not take me to the printable download. What am I doing wrong?

Barbara, I give instructions in each of the Debut videos on the 1st where to find the download link. That video is linked in the description box. The hashtag (#SLCTJan2023 this month) is just so you can see what the Collaboration team has created - it should pull up their videos. Feel free to reach out at the email in the description box if I can help you any further. Happy crafting! :)

Helen, you sure can. These fit in standard #6 3/4 envelopes that can be found almost anywhere (walmart, dollar tree, office depot, etc.).
