I find it absurd when people say WW2 games won't work anymore because it's all done before. What about Winter War, Khalkin Gol, and Manchuria? The invasion of France, and Poland? The Paris, and Warsaw uprisings? And I'm sure few people here have heard about that one time the British and Russians fought the Iranians to depose the Shah back in 1941.

+Dan Cash what about zombies
@5persondude8 жыл бұрын
Dan Cash i know this is a very late reply, but my interest in the series faded after MW2. Not to say that Black Ops wasn't good, its just that i barely played BO1 due to a *lot* of reasons. I had a falling-out with one of my best PSN Friends where his parents forced him to delete me because of this one game we were playing (apparently his *WHOLE* family was watching, and his cousin stole one of my Care Packages, so i called him a "faggot" as a joke). I also hated how unbalanced MW2's multiplayer was, with camping, SMGs, Quickscoping, Noob-Tubing, etc. so maybe i had enough of CoD multiplayer frustration after just one game (never played any of the previous CoD's multiplayer modes, MW2 was my first COD MP experience) Since then, i havent enjoyed a *_single_* CoD game since BO1 and onwards. My older brothers keep buying each game every year for some reason, and ill try out the forgettable Campaign, play like 2 matches in Multiplayer, rage-quit at all of the new over-powered "tactics" and weapons, then go on KZfaq Comments and angrily preach about how the series sucks, how this new one is a re-hash, etc. I do think there is a good reason for why some people genuinely despise the series now, not just because Activi$ion milks it to death...

That part from 4:00 to 5:30 sounds so beautiful yet terrifying it’s insane. - The bass sounds like something burning - The electric guitar sounds like ripping - The strange flute sounds like mourn and pain. I didn’t know that it’s from where the end wave sound of zombies mode in every COD game came from. I already loved it in the zombies mode but now that I get to hear the whole version, that’s a whole new experience.

I admire Cod WaW for it's realism. I remember the first time I played it. I was so shocked and disgusted by the brutality and violence. The thought of how desperate the Germans and it's allies were in the final stages of the war sends shivers down my spine. FACT: The last of many who fell at the siege of the Reichstag were Norwegians as well as other volunteers from different countries.

@radlybayilcoxway79057 жыл бұрын
Thumper Miner HQ I noticed that too. But if you do your history and back up and look why no one helps Chernov, it's not because of lack of medical treatments. The Soviet Union had a "Go forth or die" stance. Anyone that paused unless told so was to be gunned down, since they were being treasonous to the Red Army's cause. Unless medics were specifically told to tend to the injured, Chernov would have been left to roll around and die a slow painful death of infections because of the more than likely lack of bathing and the debris of buildings.

This song too, is truly "Music to my ears". Treyarch did a fantastic job of creating music to go with each individual mission for this game. Perhaps making a second World at War would really be the icing on the cake for those who enjoyed the first one, maybe put it from the perspective of the British, Canadian, Italian, etc. forces. Those not largely mentioned in the history of WWII.
@EstevanMurai10 жыл бұрын
Yes, french resistence would be nice, some low-profile/intelligence gathering mission. Brazilian forces that fought at Italy also. An assault on a submarine to get Enigma, nordic battles, africa battles, Crete. Escaping or rescueing POW at a nazi prision. And why not a nazi campaign? Invading Poland, France... WWI would be great also, not so many machines, but also great.

Middle eastern tensions: there is a small possibility that once again there can be direct conflict between russia and USA that will most likely be avoided (same thing happened few months back) Kosovo crisis: There is a posibility Kosovo crisis can spark into a Serbo-Albanian war, and due to Albania being in NATO the whole nato may get involved, Russia will do it's best to aid it's historical ally thus extending the US-RUS proxy war, China may also get indirectly involved since Serbia is sort of under chinese influence and also because China invests large amounts of money into Serbia. If something goes really wrong (which it most likely won't) a global war against NATO may spark and their chances of winning would not be very high

Valentina Boboc no you dont. You can see a glimpse of the brutality through the game, but this is a game, not war. You dont experience the fear, or smell the dead bodies, or feel the cold, or understand what its like to be in a foxhole. Pretending that playing this game can make you somehow understand what its like to be in war without being in one is childish and naive.

This game did something that no other game could. It depicted war through a constant feeling of horror, eerie-ness, and death. I have yet to realise what made it so striking and what gave it such a distinguishing feeling. It didnt have to include sci-fi horror to give you the feeling horror movies do, it was so realistic that It just resonated with you. Awesome game

I think WW2 weaponry is more interesting than modern weaponry. In Modern Warfare, you get an assault rifle, an overpowered AC-130....and that's pretty much it. In WW2: You get Submachine guns, Bolt Action rifles, Semi-automatic rifles, LMG's/automatic rifles, lots of cool weapons.
@EstevanMurai10 жыл бұрын
Yes, nowadays, to cut cost and make the logistics easier, there are less types of weapons, you get an all-purpose assault rifle and that's it. Back then, you got to choose your weapon properly according to tactics and scenary, the games aren't so straightfoward, shoot'n'run.

Not to mention unique designs i mean look at tanks in ww2 and look at tanks nowadays they all look like abrahams and challengers.

Nothing very revolutionary in warfare has occurred since WW2. There are refinements in technology and technique, sure, but fundamentally it has remained the same. In fact, the M60 which was deployed by the US in Vietnam was based on the MG42, the current US helmet designs are based on the design principles of the German Stahlhelm, the design of the STG/MP-44 which was the first hybrid of the battle rifle and sub-machine gun inspired Mikhail Kalashnikov to design the AK-47 (although the internal components are very different), the M1911 .45 and the Browning .50 cal machine gun is still in use by some of the US military, etc.
@Hitthat6910 жыл бұрын
Kyle Peters don't you ever sit and think how silly is the M60? based of a gun that had massive rate of fire of 1200 rounds a minute. What does the M60 have? about 600 rounds a minute. Don't get me wrong I love the M60, I shot it in basic and I know why they slowed down the fire rate, but its just silly how they are quite different.

You know the great thing is about this mission? You can see the desperation and despair the Nazis had for as the Red Army pushed its way into their lands. Killing their people. Spilling their blood. This was not a final stand for the Nazi Reich. It was a march to its grave as the Russians forced them back, inch by inch. Even with the limitations of the tech back then, Treyarch did a magnificent job of portraying the Nazis and how they tried every single thing in their cards to delay the inevitable fall of their regime.
