Activate blowers, erase the dirt, rotate valves, and slide platforms to protect Amigo Pancho from spikes. Finish the level quickly to get bonus points. Try to figure how to get the star logo for more bonus points.

In the mood of a simple little puzzle game with a bit of a silly twist? Then you've found the game for you! Let's have a look at the fifth iteration of the Amigo Pancho games, the appropriately named Amigo Pancho 5!
This is the fifth Amigo Pancho game, so chances are you already know what's what. If you don't though, and somehow made it this far in the play list without figuring things out, the game is about the eponymous Pancho as he moves from level to level while floating up via two balloons. Pop one balloon, and you're in danger of falling. Pop both, and you will fall, not something you want to happen when you're that high up.
As with the other games, the graphics are fairly simple. No fancy shmancy 3D, scalers, or particle effects here, just good solid 2D graphics. The graphics are well done though, and they are fairly pretty, or pretty fair however you want to go. The different sprites all look good, and while they might not exactly have that extra panache that makes them really memorable, they are quirky and fun enough to look at that you won't get bored. You'll also be treated to different locales, so there won't be any worries about getting bored with looking at the same thing again and again.
The music in the game is pretty much standard stuff. It's nowhere near as memorable as something like the Mario theme, but for the most part it gets the job done of setting the tone and the mood for the game. You will, though, get different music depending on which level you are, so there's a bit of variety to keep things fresh. The sound effects are pretty much the same as with previous games, so don't expect any surprises. Still, like previous games, they do the job well enough.
The controls are identical to previous games, you'll tap and swipe across the screen in various places in order to do various things. You'll spin wheels around to rotate things, rub bits of sand to get rid of them, swipe across levers to flip them, and slide platforms around to... well... to slide them around, obviously. Most everything is clearly labeled, so it's pretty easy to see what you need to be working with. There won't be any confusion here, as the game starts you off simply enough, giving you ample time to get used to things.
The gameplay, like the controls, is mostly identical to previous games, with no real changes to the core mechanics. There is, however an addition, as levels can now have stars for you to collect. These are often in precarious places, so getting them can be a bit tricky, and certainly far more difficult than just finishing the level. Still, what sort of game would pass up a chance to grab those stars, especially when doing so adds an extra amount of thrill to the game.
