Hello flower lovers,
This spring we captured a beautiful Quince tree in bloom on our camera to share it with you. This one is a Chaenomeles. The Chaenomeles is a multi-stemmed deciduous shrub or little tree with gorgeous red, orange, white or pink flowers and glossy dark green leaves. Flowering occurs in early spring and is one of the first to bring bees back into the garden. The flowers bloom for a relatively short period of around 3 weeks. During spring the flowers attract a wide range of beneficial insects with a sweet scented pollen. Chaenomeles are grown ornamentally for their flowers, not for their fruits.
